    Hi Guys
Another update on Holly. She is spoiled rotten with love and affection and we all love her so much. She is so funny, and almost human at times. She has such a lovely personality, and brings so much comfort to us.

Have a look at her new pics. This time last year God knows where she was. This year she’ll have a much happier Christmas :)

Hello All – I’ve been meaning to come on here and update for ages about Holly :D She is doing brilliantly – she is such a funny and intelligent dog, and really affectionate – to the point of cracking me up sometimes as if she’s on my lap and my arms are folded she will nuzzle under my arm until her head peeks out. We took her on Holidays for two weeks in July to Kerry – she loved it, we discovered that she does not like water – AT ALL  – but she is an amazing climber. She is also a really really fast runner – the kids call her a little bullet. I have some pictures which will illustrate what a pampered pooch she has become, so I will put them up when i have loaded them on the computer. Just wanted to let you all know that Holly is a complete joy in our lives – she has brought so much love and laughter to us, we are thrilled to have her in our family, so thanks again to DID for all your help when she was so sick in the beginning.

    Hi all,

Quick update on Holly, she has stopped the barking – I leave her in the living room at night now and she seems to be happy there so no barking. She looks great – has put on some much needed weight and is loving the cuddles on the couch she gets every evening.

We took her for a long walk on the beach last saturday, she loved running along in the sand but didn’t seem to like the water too much at all – mind you it was freezing and she is a very intelligent dog  . She tends to cry in the car a lot, and as we will be bringing her to Dingle on our Summer holidays in July I am trying to take her out in the car often so she gets used to it. I don’t fancy a five hour drive with her crying in the back seat

She is a great addition to our family – so thanks Dogs in Distress !!

Hi everyone – Holly is doing very well – she has been neutered and had her stitches out yesterday. She has put on some weight so looks healthier now and is full of fun and affection. She is generally very good however, in the last week she has taken to barking her head off when she goes to bed for the night. She sleeps in the bathroom which is next door to my daughters bedroom ( we live in a bungalow) and its stopping us all going to sleep. She used to just go in, scratch at the door once or twice and then go asleep but now she has started this  Any ideas as to what I can do to stop the barking? She has plenty of walks and is kept busy during the day so I would assume she would be tired by the time we go to bed….

So glad that Holly can now be found in the ‘Happy Endings’ section rather than Foster Care!! Kathy & Co came out today to give her her vac & chip – she was very good while it was being done and to celebrate we brought her down to the pet shop and got her a new coat – as we gave the Dogs in Distress one we had for her back today :D
All agreed she looked much better and she was her usual friendly self with our visitors – Kathy tried to get a pic of her but she was camera shy as usual.

I’ll try to get a pic of her in her new coat and post it.
All that is left now is fro her to be spayed which is happening on Friday and then she’ll be fine!!

Thanks again to Kathy and everyone in D.I.D. for all their fantastic support with Holly over the past couple of weeks :D

Holly is doing wonderfully!!! She has had a bath, which she didn’t really like but was very well behaved for – she is drinking plenty, and eating small amounts regularly – some chicken, potato, dog food and she even stood up on her back legs today and robbed a sausage from my daughters plate

She has a wonderful personality – she is so funny, very affectionate does not like cats though!! She has been for a couple of short walks each day and she is brilliant on the lead – trots proudly alongside me as if to say "Look – I have someone who loves me" except when she sees a cat! Other than that she is spending a lot of time sleeping in front of the fire.
