Well Maura what can I say two dogs now :D :D .
Well done to you Roxie looks great and the new inmate seems to be really catching up . Its really great having another dog to bring them on, it really speeds up the whole process.
She is one lucky girl to have you as a foster mum she will get the best of everything and be back to the way she should have been in no time.
Dont forget to tell them at the vets when she is under on Tuesday to finish the job on her legs.
They will both be in recovery together feeling sorry for each other on Tue night :)
Well done to you again they both look really happy.

This is one fantastic dog, loving good with everyone and I feel she has been overlooked due to her injury but this has not stopped her as most dogs they move on much quicker than people. I wish I was so forgiving.
She is a fantastic dog and thanks to her major grooming session making her look like the Disney dog she should be, she now deserves the best home possible as she has so much to give.

Well Dean is doing very well here and due to get his stitches out tomorrow. He is really sharp, quick to learn, loves toys and will do anything for a ball or treat.
He is such a good looking dog I cannot believe he has not bee snapped up. He is so fantastic with all dogs, children and adults, he is a real gem.
If you want to have a dog to bring on in agility or flyball or just jog, play ball or run Dean is the man for the job.
He is very affecionate, loving and a real fun guy.
He is doing well on his harness and is now housetrained.

This little one looks so short legged she must be Rottie x vertically challanged thats how you say it now is’nt it? She will be very short and long when fully grown. So thats great if you like a Rottie type but dont have the space this little woman would be perfect just like having a minature version.

Sorry Jenny did not get a chance to call you back but now that you are logged in you will be able to see his progress.
His medication from USA is in Ireland so hopefully I will get it on Monday. He is doing fine he had another wash Friday afternoon as the cheesy smell was coming back stronger after the hot weather. He hates travelling and drools all the way to the vet but at least he has not got sick on the last journey.
He is still eating well although weight gain is slowing down which is fine as he really wont put on an awful lot more as he is quite a small framed setter.
He is still playing with Myla the little demon.
He still gets worried when you call him to you but as soon as all the others respond he joins in for a pet.

Every now and then he frightens the life out of himself when he gets carried away doing something like playing and then realising it get really exicited and chuffed with himself as if to say DID YOU SEE ME DOING THAT.
I think having lots of other dogs around here and no pressure he is starting to be a dog. I dont think he has ever had that opportunity before.

His skin is also changing going from angry red to normal pink on the flanks. He looks like a bald Dalmation at the moment with the black spots and only white hair growing back, I dont know if any black will grow back or if he ever had any in the first place.
I will try and get some more photos tomorrow.

Benji had a wash this morning and he loved it.
Jenny did a great job and he felt he was the most important person in the world.
Better still he weighed in at 14.6kg and his hair is growing back which is all good.
He is no longer manic about food and is happy to wait although exicited with the prospect.
He is now happily chewing on all sorts of treats so all is well and progressing on a daily basis.
I have ordered a treatment for mange for him fron the USA and hopefully it will lessen the need for the more severe mange washes.
To date this boy for all his progress still has not been treated for mange.
Which proves mange is only there due to a lowered immune system and when all the other parts are worked on,like diet, relaxed realising how to be a dog…….. it makes a hugh difference

Tonight I tried Dean on a harness and he did well when reminded I was attached to the other end. By the time we were coming home he was strolling happily beside me.
But he is totally a city slicker and not a country bumpkin as a cow looked over the gate and he nearly died of fright.
He stood rooted to the spot, growling and reversing at the same time it was really funny.
On the way back he remembered where the big black thing was and started walking in reverse just to keep an eye on this alien in case it attacked him…………..he was really funny.

Dean is really smart and learns quickly and loves nothing better than a challange.
He really responds to one to one, praise and treats.
The eating is improving but he loved having a sample of salmon tonight he was only short of standing on his head for it.
This boys ideal home is to be involved with all that goes on to keep him occupied and he would love training classes. He would play ball all day long.

This is one good lookin boy, very smart but has a sense of humour.
He is fantastic with a tennis ball and is totally food orientated.
Great with all dogs big, small , male and female. He is not really into cats except to chase them.He has never been on a lead so we are going to try a harness next week.
He has been neutered and had his hind dew claws removed and been very good about it all and not even wearing a lampshade.
He loves all sorts of toys and plays tug with Myla regularly.
He has not been fed any dry food and will will do without rather than try but today I found a favourite in Tuna fish so hopefully he will progress.
He likes being brushed and sits while you do it.

Today he thought all his Birthdays came together as Kealan got a Swing Ball set and Dean spent the morning attached to it and doing some very impressive twists in the air.
If someone wanted a dog to bring on and work with Dean is the man and good looking too.

Well this little girl is great a total Madame.
She is so confident with everybody dogs and humans alike.
She trots in and out all day to go to the loo and when she is tired she puts herself to bed and dare anyone wake her.
There is no fear of forgetting to feed her as soon as she is hungry you will know all about it………..Kealan and I reckoned she was auditioning for Britans Got Talent Saturday Night as the dinner was not been produced quick enough.
Whoever gets this little maggot needs to appreciate this girl has her own agenda and it may not always match yours.
She knows exactly what she wants and when she wants it so you need to be prepared to reasonably explain what you require and why.
She is as bright as a button and learns very quickly but first thing in the morning those little puppy teeth saying Good Morning attached to the leg of your PJ,s or around your ankle can be a sharp wake up.

While this little girl is very cute now she will need a home where they are prepared to do the puppy training in order for her to develop into a bright well adjusted adult rather than a medium size smart delinquent.

 Well we went back today for another malaseb wash and it all went well and I think he actually enjoyed it. I have been putting Bio oil on the leather type skin on his legs and they washed off clean today back to pink skin.

Last Friday before I collected him he weighed in at 11.2kg so we decided to weigh him this morning and he surprised us all coming in at 13.7kg so I have told him to take it handy or he will be on a light diet by next week

He has now met all the dogs and is getting on well.
He is still worried about coming in and out the kitchen door but I think tonight he has made another step forward as he ran in and out about three times and you could see he was delighted with himself.
At night he settles down in the kitchen with Myla chewing on his tail.

He is still sleeping on his own at night because he has to have his last feed and I think at that stage of the day he needs to chill out totally and relax and he is usually fast asleep in 10 mins worn out from the day so much so he never even lifts his head when I check on him.
Also he would not have been able for much activity for the past few months due to his debilated state so its all a bit new to him.
The main thing is he is improving daily considering he has not been treated for the mange yet.
His next bath is Thursday am and hopefully the following week he will be ready and able for the mange wash……..hopefully.
    Will keep you posted.
