Well done I am delighted for the little man, one cheeky little chap.
Joan has done a great job bringing this little person on and Rommel & Co for teaching him how to be a dog, this is one of the many important parts to fostering. This enables them to get their second chance.
Best of luck Smoky and we look forward to your updates.

New adopters/owners need to know that all DID dogs have had access to the internet in their foster homes so you need to make sure they are still allowed to update their profiles after they have moved homes ;) After all its just like having their own Doggie Facebook Page.

We are offering free microchipping on the day performed by one of the two vets on site on the day so please tell everyone you know.
This can normally cost anything from 20.00 euros to 60.00 euros.
All microchips will be regristered by DID.
Look forward to seeing you all there.

I have an amazing pudgie spaniel x picnic table called Jamie and he is just bomb proof with any dog or pup.
Lots of DID folk have met him and will agree.
I would have no problem in letting him meet Jamie on a one to one meet as its less stressfull all round.
Also I know this little man as I collected him from Meath Pound and brought him to his foster home the same night.
He was so good with Kealan in the back seat as we travelled Kealan spent his time brushing him and he loved it.
If you feel that might suit I am living near Clonee and my no is 086 2573180.
    Thanks.
    Marie.

Great update on Tess, she really does look like a little pixie.
I thought the bedtime routine was the best. I can just imagine the fright you got and her wondering what all the fuss was about.
The two guard dogs obviously decided she was not to be considered as an intruder

I know exactly what you mean the lasting time on these sticks is only seconds so I dont see how they could work.
I find the best treats to help teeth cleaning are hard ones.
I use pigs ears but not every day, Tripe sticks are strong smelling but they love them.
There are lots of different types of rawhide treats available.
Mazi Zoo have large square and round biscuits which are sold loose or in a box, my dogs love them, they are called MultiFit and there is no added sugar.
The larger stores have a wider selection and a much better choice.
It’s good too that you can buy them loose to see if your dog likes them before you buy a box.
    Hope this helps.

Ahh… Angela they both look soooo cute.
I am glad to hear the little man is settling in and doing well.
Lucy looks fab real little Bishon look now.
    They look so good together.
Is Charlie still busy keeping an eye on the kids??
A few years ago if some asked me for either of these dogs coming into rescue I would have just laughed………….different story now, and you have too fab kids as a result.
Thanks for the update great to hear he is still gaining confidence and finally being a dog.
A big hug Hamish from all your pals in the countryside. :)

Well done Audrey he seems to be a total hoot.
I love his story about the burger………….how smart is that.
Of course the collie always shines out, such smart people.
He is really having a great time with Rossie and Tess.
He looks quite proud of himself sitting pretty for the beach photo.
Someone will be very lucky to adopt this boy.
This is why fostering is so important for these guys and gals, it really gives them a chance to grow into the dog they should have been given half a chance.
Also they learn so quickly how to be a dog from the existing dog/dogs in the homes.
Its great to read the updates and see their progress.
This is one of the many ways DID are so different from ALL other rescues.
Well done Toddy and to Rossi and Tess for helping you along the way,
and of course Audrey your chauffer and chef. ;)

He looks fantastic……….well done new parent.
The video is really great, maybe he is saying….. I’m a celebrity let me out of here.
Most important the improvment in the eyes and I am sure he cant believe whats happening either being able to see things and get involved, all the stuff he has missed out on before.
Please keep the updates coming we really appreciate them, it’s what keeps us motivated and positive on the bad days.
    Thanks.

Great to see my little man getting on so well.
He really deserves it………such a great dog I could not find a single fault with him.
Even though humans let him down already he is just so forgiving and forget material, it does your heart good.
Dogs never fail to teach us humans a lesson as long as we are receptive to it.
Good boy Chester a great little ambassador for D.I.D.

ps. Buttons missed you loads but she now has a new buddie called Mollie, I know its very quick but what’s a girl to do when her boyfriend changes address.
Kealan still misses you but you are always welcome here on your holidays if Mary needs to go away.

This little man seems like another all round family dog………but where is his family.

This is the type of dog most family’s need but they dont seem to realise it and go out and buy one that is totally unsuitable for their circumstances and lifestyle.
When will people learn to take the time and do some research to get the right addition to their family considering they should be part of that family for approx the next 15 years.
