Poor boy he was very lucky you took him in and fostered him as he had well overstayed his welcome in the
Pound ![]()
There was no interest in him at all and the Pound were really worried for him as he seemed like such a nice lad and he has proved them right.
Deelo are you now getting lessons in jumping this gate
at least you can always blame it on the inmate ![]()
They have to be luved out at this stage ![]()
A real pair of happy campers………no room left for humans on that couch ![]()
Great photos she looks so happy. ![]()
I really love the one with her paw crossed over her chew.
Again another fantastic dog who should never have been in a pound and could have very easily slipped through the net as numbers soar every day. ![]()
Thank you for fostering her, I just love her happy expression, she is so young, friendly and a good all rounder and certainly didn’t deserve to be put to sleep. She has so much to give, a young, happy healthy dog and unfortunatly many more like her all around Ireland. ![]()
Well done Nellie I hope they played the Irish Nation Anthem when you were presented with your trophy.
You are a great advert for a Rescue Dog and a Poundie ![]()
Congrats again. ![]()
Oh MY God he looks so tiny.
Well done big bro for looking after the little ones ![]()
You are employed and you don’t even know it…………I suppose that’s what most of the Country is saying at the moment.
Thanks for the update I am sure the poor little girl was so happy to feel warm, safe, cuddled and fed she probably thought she died and was in heaven.
It is the case with the majority of pound dogs.
It’s really hard to think that they could be put to sleep, just because they are not homed in time and space being of a premium in pounds.
Hopefully someday it will improve but not in my lifetime.
One thing I am sure of is that we have to keep trying and making a difference which we do to each and every dog and pup we take into our care.
One thing I can guarantee is that Dogs In Distress as a group really do care and that can be seen with all the fosterer’s and transport offered.
Thanks to all concerned for making a difference.
Oh my God that expression says it all…………What just happened.
Where has my family gone.
It must be a mistake they will be back soon to collect me.
I have seen that look too many times and it’s one I don’t care to remember, yet it is always there with most of the surrendered dogs.
Poor girl yet she WILL FORGIVE AND FORGET IN TIME…….. that is why dog’s and animals in general are so good not like their humans.
I hate to think how she is feeling tonight, hopefully she is tired enough to sleep and forget for a little while how scared she is.
This I am sure is one of Erin’s pups.
She came to me from the pound heavily pregnant and went on to have six puppies.
I think there was five boys and one girl called Evie.
The boys were called Evan, Elton,Ember and Earl who died at 6 months due to a road traffic accident. I cannot remember the fifth boys name but Kim might and put me out of my misery,
Well done to Daisy and Jack for allowing an intruder to move in.
They all look well settled and happy together.
Lovely photos thanks so much for the update
Thanks for the update, delighted to hear he is happy and settled.
You are so right most people won’t even consider a mature dog.
At least you have shown it is possible to have a young child and an older dog with no problems. ![]()
Thanks for the update it’s really appreciated.
What a pretty girl.
Well done you with your first foster dog. ![]()
She really looks so happy and contented.
Little Shih-Tzu man looks very cute and so well cared for. ![]()
Thanks for the updates and photos as this is really important in finding the dogs their new home.
Such a lovely looking pair and yet so different ![]()
It’s great and satisfying to see them settled and happy.
Exactly what we all strive for with all our inmates.
Thanks for the update. ![]()
Good God Aggie what a shine on Trinity’s coat.
I want hair like that ![]()
Let me know who her hairdresser is ![]()
Joking…………you would know the shine is from the inside out.
What a fab healthy girl. A great ambassador for home visits ![]()
Well done.
I went to visit this happy pair of wrestlers today and they are getting on fantastic.
Rosi has got longer but not higher in size.
She was in great form and looks really happy and healthy. ![]()
Max really likes having a new sister even when she bully’s him into play
with very little time allowed for rests.
All in all a very happy ending and I hope they have years of wrestling to come. ![]()
What a stunning girl
and by all accounts she is not only pretty but smart and sociable as well.
Love the sock sharing moment.
The first photo is real poster material.
