MemberSo happy to read that Ben has settled in so well.
Love the pic of Ben and Penny.
Enjoy them and may they have many, many happy years together.dianneh
MemberThis poor baby should still be with its mother that is why it is crying.
The pup also needs feeding regularly through the night as well.
Is the pup taking enough to eat and drink?
As regards its poor tail the pup should be checked by a vet.It should be checked by a vet anyway and be given worming tablets every 2 weeks.
By day carrying the poor pup in a sling so the pup has human contact will help.Sometimes the ticking of a clock in the bed can help.
Is the owner able for round the clock care because this is what such a young pup needs.dianneh

MemberSorry, did not mean to repeat the same photo above.
Benny had his 2nd vaccine and micro chip today so is ready for his forever home.Poor Benny cried all the way to the vet and even louder when he was micro chipped, mainly because he did not like being held still. He recovered quick enough to wag his tail all the time he was eating a piece of scalliwag biscuit the vet gave him.

MemberHi,Benny is now 10 to 11 weeks old and thriving well as he now weighs 3.1kgs,he was only 1.7kgs on arrival.
Tomorrow Benny will have his 2nd vaccine and get his micro chip.
He still loves cuddles and is very much part of the gang chasing down the garden with my 4 and playing chase and tug with them.
Toilet training is good as long as he is taken out regularly during the day and he is clean and dry every night.
Benny has lovely colouring but it is darker than the photos show.DSCN2014.JPG

MemberHi,I have discovered that I can run fast now.I love being in the garden.
I pick up leaves or anything that I can grab quickly and then run.I also like playing chase with my foster brothers,I especially like to play with Zac but sometimes I get carried away and get a bit too rough and he runs away from me.My foster mum tried to get pics of me in the garden but there is just too much to explore to pose for pics.DSCN1989.JPG

MemberBenny has a great appetite and now takes his food dry.He is gaining weight well.
Benny has been a little afraid of the strong winds when in the garden. He is a great little actor and whines and sometimes cries to get his own way eg eat Max’s food.
He gets excited when he meets people.Benny still dislikes going to bed some nights but settles quickly.
Benny just loves his cuddles and the company of his foster brothers.DSCN1960.JPG

MemberHi,it will take a while for the appetite to return to normal.
Small frequent meals are best and they need to be non fat or very very low fat. They can also have prescription w/d,non fat cottage cheese and organic turkey or chicken baby food, look for the ones with the lowest fat content.
I know UCD are very busy but if you are stuck you can still ring them for advice.dianneh
