This little fella is coming on in leaps and bounds – literally!!!
He is a gas character – still a lot more nervous than his sis but very confident in situations with which he is familiar. He positively dances around the house, sometimes on four legs but often on two ( well I suppose you have to gain every height advantage possible when you are only about 9 inches tall!!!!) He is eating well, sleeping through the night and all he wants to do is play, play, play! Himself and Lily have the most amazing tug of wars and we sit for ages just watching them!
Milo will be a small dog when fully grown – he has the little short dumpy legs of a small breed terrier. He is an absolute pet!!!! Well, Layla!! Haven’t you grown up to be an absolute stunner – no surprise there though!!!
Lovely to see you so happy and settled and grown up! Big hug from all of us here. So so sad!
I visited this little lady and her sisters a few times over the past week and she battled so hard. Heartbroken for her and for Kathy and Nicole. Storming heaven for the last two!!This little fella is just gorgeous!!
He is a real smiley, happy chappie and his tail wags constantly. I was delighted to meet him yesterday and it was lovely to see him so happy and settled today. A real gem! Well our darling little girl left us this morning for her new forever home ( yet another snivelfest in the Colgan household!!!)
I absolutely know she will be very happy with Debbie who has a beautiful park right on her doorstep and whose sister adopted Poppy’s sister, Pip a few weeks ago – so the tears were all for me!!! Debbie has promised loads of updates – she has already started keeping me up to date with the little princess Have a truly wonderful happy ever after, Pops! No one deserves it more. Well the bould Poppy – who was spayed during the week – showed us a very creative side to her personality last night!!
I had left my son’s steak and chips – a REAL treat in these recessionary times! – high up and covered till he came home. Poppy, complete with stitches, managed to extricate the steak from the plate (she declined the chips, mind you) and proceeded to DEVOUR it!!! What was really intriguing was that we never heard a thing – not the plate rattling or the cover being pushed aside : NOTHING!!! This amazes me because Casper, our other confirmed kleptomaniac always betrays his intentions by knocking something over or making a song and dance out of it! Not so Poppy!!! Clever, clever girl. I think steak agrees with her too cos she is looking fantastic today!!! Long time, no update!!! Sorry! This little lady continues to thrive and to grow in confidence and self-assurance.
She is truly one of the pack here and all the dogs – and the humans – absolutely LOVE her. She is a really gentle little soul who stands back and observes before plunging in to any new situation but is up for anything when she is sure of her ground. We had a lot of visitors over the Bank Holiday weekend and she was very quiet – definitely a bit overwhelmed by all the extra people. She went to her bed and watched proceedings from there but greeted everyone who approached her with a waggy tail and a smily face. She is doing great with her toilet training and is due her second vax tomorrow so it will be all systems go! She is a joy to foster (for the first time in ages, I am having the "I wonder could we?" debate with myself). So if her forever family rescue me from myself, I would be very grateful – I think!!!! This is my most abiding memory of when you were with us – you would sit and cry with tiredness and I had to pick you up and rock you to sleep before you would settle in your bed (I had a couple of human kids that were the same!!!! ) You look absolutely fabulous!!! Love from all here.
