MemberWell our precious little guy got his second vax yesterday so it was all systems go for the walk today!
It has broken my heart to leave him behind for the past couple of weeks and he couldn’t believe his luck when he got a lead on this morning too.
He ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! He tore around Tymon Park like a lunatic when we braved letting him off lead and, to be fair, he stuck fast to the biggies – "fast" being the operative word!!
He looked like Bambi, bounding along and he never stopped running till we got him back to the car.
Thrilled that he can join us every day now. He is doing really well – apart from getting stung by a wasp he decided to snack on the other day!!!
He ended up with a MEGA lip but no lasting ill effects.
More pics to come soon.

MemberThanks so much for the update! The photos are FANTASTIC and Kibs looks wonderful – happy and healthy!!!
He was really camera-shy when he was with us but he has turned into quite the super-model, I see.
So delighted – yet again – for you all.
Keep us posted and give the main man a huge hug from all of us here.

MemberWe were delighted to formally adopt this little guy yesterday and he got his first vax too which means it won’t be too long before he can be brought out.
He has OODLES of energy and there is only so much running in and out of the back and up and down the stairs that one little dog can do!!
Looking forward to watching him grow up big and strong (well maybe not too big!!!
) and he is well on the road now. Will keep the updates coming – for Kathy at least!!!

MemberThis special little man is well on the road to recovery. Physically he is absolutely great, he has put on weight and is back to his crazy, playful self.
He is also becoming less anxious which is fantastic to see cos to watch him agonise over the eternal "will she be back?" question was very difficult. He is still happier when I am within view and within "sitting on my lap" distance but he will occasionally settle down on his own and I know he WILL get there.
Just a few updated photos as promised.

MemberWell this little guy – renamed Thor to the delight of my son and the chagrin of my daughter!!! – is getting stronger by the day thank God.
Physically he is almost back to normal but the emotional scars of a 12 day sojourn in the vets are proving a little harder to heal.
Don’t get me wrong, he was treated wonderfully in the vets but the enforced separation from his only recently acquired foster family when he was feeling so awful has left him very fearful of being left alone. He accompanies me EVERYWHERE I go – to the bathroom, upstairs, every trip in the car – wherever I am, there you will find him.
He finds it very hard to sleep in one of the many doggie beds in the house, he really only sleeps soundly on some lap or other. He finds it hard to settle at night even with the company of the other dogs – he doesn’t cry but we leave him standing at the door when all the others, even little Pippy , have found their beds.
This anxiety will pass, I know but it is hard to watch him struggle with separation anxiety especially when he didn’t start out that way. Photos to follow, I promise!!!

MemberThank you so much, Gillian and Aran for the update on our little minx.
Thrilled to hear she is so happy, settled and loved with you – not that I doubted it for a second.
Looking forward to hearing how she gets on with her training classes – a doddle for such a clever little lady.
Give her a huge hug from all of us here.

MemberPippy met her forever family today and they just ADORED her!! No surprise there. She will be heading off to her "happy ever after" as soon as she is vaxed and chipped.

MemberWe have just levelled up the human – canine ratio with the adoption of Pepper.
It would just be too hard to let him go after all he has been through. My son, Adam, is the official adopter – he has wanted to adopt him from the minute he came through the door so he will make CANINE COLGAN number 5!!! Never saw that coming but some things are meant to be. . . Looking forward to getting him back to full fitness.

MemberMy poor little Peps is home at last.
We are thrilled to have him home but the severity of his sickness and his prolonged spell in the vets have really taken their toll on him.
He has lost a lot of weight which is especially noticeable cos he has grown taller and he seems to have really long legs holding up a very thin body! However the "Colgan Convalescent Home" is prepared to do whatever it takes to restore this special little guy to full health and wellness. No new photos as yet – just waiting for him to gain a little flab!!! Thanks to everyone for their good wishes while he was laid up.
