Just got off the phone to Taz’s new mammy. She has settled really well and they are THRILLED to bits with her. :D :D She has been out for walks in the local park and is happy out. She had a great first night, settling down after only a small period of crying and slept all night! :D Another truly great happy ending for another truly great DID dog. :D :D :D :D

Our special little angel went off to her "happy ever after" this morning. :( The sad face is all for me. Taz will be SO HAPPY in her new home and goodness knows she deserves to be. :D :D We will always remember you, princess. Be happy!!! :D

This morning, Taz and I went on a little adventure out to Rathcoole where Tazmin met a lovely lady (one of three lovely people in the house!) and it was love at first sight all round. :D :D Taz continues to be hesitant in new situations but it didn’t take her long to relax and start to explore the house and garden. She showed off her absolute best manners :D :D and I am thrilled to report that she will be going off to her new life in the morning – let’s hope the Dubs have as much luck tomorrow!  We will be typically sad to see her go but this family is tailor made for her and I know she will be loved and spoiled rotten. She needs her very own humans to continue to build up the confidence that we see emerging by the day. Have a wonderful happy ever after, Taz. :D :D

Just a little update on our new princess. :D Tazmin continues to grow in strength and confidence and plays happily for hours on end with our brood. She ADORES her morning walk and, although she has become a little more adventurous, she stays with the pack and comes when called unfailingly. :D :D She is a really affectionate little girl and loves to cuddle on my lap in the evening to watch telly – there is a great competition between her and Mollie to see who can grab the lap first!!  She LOVES toys and will make a game for herself out of any toy she finds – the squeakier the better! Took her a while to realise what a bed is for but, as the photo below shows, she has now grasped the concept! A great little lady. :D

We made a few new discoveries about this little girlie today. We took her in the car to visit (a) my mam and (b) my sister! She is excellent in the car – lay down the whole time, very relaxed and at ease. At my mam’s, she met her little dog and they got on like a house on fire running like lunatics around the back garden.  At my sister’s, she met HER bigger dog and there were no problems whatsoever – not even shyness! :D She also met my 4 year old niece and was very gentle and well behaved around her. :D She has the toilet training just about copped and the very mention of the word "NO" stops her if she is doing anything she shouldn’t (which is rare) :D Her confidence is growing by the day which is lovely to see. A real little gem. :D :D

Thanks for that Jen. They are so alike in looks and it’s amazing to think they are so alike in temperament too. :D :D I remember meeting you alright. Sam is the apple of my eye – he is such a good fella. Don’t know where I would be without him. Give Razor a big hug from all of us here. :D :D

Well I am delighted to report that Tazmin has become much more settled and less anxious. :D Her confidence is growing by the day – still doesn’t take much to knock her, though. She still loves to play – wrestling with Cas or Thor is her favourite and because she is so fast, it becomes a mad flying scramble sending rugs and beds SOARING!!!  Thor is fast and agile like her but poor old Cas is fierce clumsy and BIG so he knocks everything over! Just as well I am not house proud.  She is beginning to twig the toilet training but I am not pushing it with her as she still worries too much!! Tail up 90% of the time now which is brilliant to see. When she arrived, it was so far under her, you could see the tip of it under her CHIN!!! :( Tazmin is coming on in leaps and bounds (no pun intended as she is a real jumper and has scaled our gate twice already). Look at the photo. Who could resist those eyes?? :D

Met our gorgeous Bruce (aka Samuel) in Tymon Park this morning with his new dad! I don’t know who was more excited, me or any of the 7 canines. My own lot were THRILLED to see him and Bruce likewise. Then he spotted Tazmin and knew at once she wasn’t supposed to be there!!!  As Bruce was leaving – reluctantly I might add as he was playing like mad – Sam, who always rounds up the pack, kept following him and inviting him back. It took some persuading to get them all moving with their respective owners and my heart did a little flip as I watched him head off. :? That said, he looks – and is – happy out in his new home and they can’t believe how good he is. Just as I said all along!!! :D :D Stay happy, my wonderful little man! :D

Thanks Indianna. Knew she would be one for you the minute I laid eyes on her! :D She is a real pet. :D She comes along for the walk with the others in the morning and she is SO happy to be out and running around. We have even allowed her off lead and she is wonderful for coming when called. She sticks to the pack like glue, she loves a ball and boy, can she run!!! She even outstrips Thor and that’s saying something. Hasn’t quite caught Sam yet though but give her time.  Tazmin is a very anxious little girl even here in the house. She is not happy unless she can see one of her humans at all times. Early days yet – I am sure she will relax a bit over the next while. She cowers at raised voices and big gestures scare her, poor love, but we will get there. :D She ADORES her playtime with the rest of the gang and is making up for her previous lack (I reckon) of socialisation. A gorgeous girlie. Hope she finds a truly wonderful "happy ever after" :D :D

This poor little scrap arrived to us on Saturday. :D To say she is timid is an understatement. She is a real sweetheart, though, who adores us all already.  She was petrified of the dogs at first (not too much of a surprise there, I suppose) and we introduced them one at a time. Less than 48 hours later and she is bosom buddies with them all – even Tigra!! She is vaxed and neutered and I brought her to be microchipped this morning. She was as good as gold. She was PAINFULLY thin when she arrived but already we can see her putting on weight. She is in good fettle healthwise and the vet reckons – as did we – that she is closer to a year old. She is quite small for a fully grown dog – only about knee height. Toilet training is a work in progress, shall we say, but she is an intelligent little lady so we will get there soon, I am sure. She is a very affectionate little lady – we just need to build up her confidence. Delighted to have her. :D
