MemberI know only too well the agony of leaving a really sick little dog in the vets and the worry and fear that it brings.
We have now had four that were at death’s door and all of them made it thankfully – against all the odds in some cases.
Just hang in there, "storm heaven" (as my mum says – if that is your thing) and keep up the positive thoughts and vibes for little Max. If you can visit the little scrap, it might help – both of you!!! I know it certainly helps the doggie to see a face and hear a voice it recognises. All the best. Everything crossed for you and the little guy.

MemberI am so sorry to hear of the passing of little Hallie. Losing a pet is the hardest thing. Try to remember all the good times she had with you and what a happy end of life she enjoyed. Thinking of you.

MemberWell our stunning little divil met a lovely family on Saturday and they loved him on sight!
No surprise there.
He will be heading off to his "happy ever after" this week and I am thrilled for the little guy. He is going to a family with lots of time to give him and the bonus of a gorgeous big garden (I want to go myself!!!!
). We will really miss Vito – he is such a character – but the rear ends of the other dogs here will be safer when he goes

MemberWell Vito had his first vax and was microchipped the other night.
And in typical male, "cock-of-the-walk" fashion, he HOWLED!!
and he hasn’t looked back since. He is the cockiest, most self assured little man imaginable – nothing fazes him. The big dogs, new people, noises, sweeping brushes – all the things that can worry a less confident dog don’t bother Vito in the SLIGHTEST!! He has got to know his name and he has learned (from my woefully disobedient and indulged pack!) that human food tastes really scrummy! So he begs – along with them all – every chance he gets!!
A real little dote.

MemberHad the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting up with this little lady today.
An unexpected knock on my door heralded the arrival of Sugar and her mum, Una. I was so thrilled to see her and she very obviously remembered me which was wonderful. Don’t know which of us was more excited!!
She looks FABULOUS, still only a small girleen and the love between herself and Una is obvious.
She is absolutely thriving in her new home and has grown (a little ) into the beautiful lady we always knew she would be. It completely made my day!!
Took two photos which I have uploaded here – but a combination of c..p photographer and black doggie doesn’t show her to her best advantage. Still beautiful.

MemberWell this little guy is with us nearly a week now and he is an absolute joy!
He is the happiest, waggiest, most playful, most affectionate puppy ever and he has settled in here as if he has been here all his life!
He bounces around the place the whole time, loves his toys, adores his foster siblings and – as the photos below show – absolutely LOVES his grub
He settles down at night without a peep and I have never heard so much as a whimper out of him. He is coming along with the toilet training and he is quite an independent little man. He has the most adorable wrinkles on his forehead that make him look as if he is worried all the time – a fact TOTALLY belied by the constantly wagging tail!!
A great little man. Hope he finds his forever family soon (but not too soon!!!!)

MemberShe is absolutely beautiful, Audrey.
What a terrible pity she has had this health setback as she was obviously making great strides with you. Please God she will be alright.
Got a small donation for Dogs In Distress yesterday from a visitor to the neighbourhood who is MAD about dogs. I will forward it towards the treatment for this gorgeous little lady. Best of luck, princess.

MemberThats pretty much it Carolyn. He can beg (which is roll over) and "beg with the paws" (which is the classic sitting back on his haunches and begging). Thats what she showed me anyway. I would say there was some time put in teaching him tricks and they gave me treats for him so he knows about them too!!!
Dying to keep following his thread.

MemberHad the absolute pleasure of doing the transport for this fab guy last week and he is everything Carolyn says about him- and more!!
I only spent a couple of hours with him but I thought he was wonderful and everyone who met me with him commented on how beautiful he is.
He certainly has tricks as the lady from whom I collected him was very proud to show me
It is great to hear he is getting on so well. Best of luck, sweetheart!!!

MemberCouldn’t agree more!
She looks so far removed from the terrified little scrap that arrived to us a month ago. Her new mammy was on the phone again today to say how thrilled they are to have her and how much they love her.
Yet one more wonderful reason why I love fostering. Thrilled for you, my beautiful little lady.
