Brooklyn is feeling much better however he is still on antibiotics for kennel cough and has drops for ear mites :(
He is still a quite little man but starting to play a wee bit more with the other dogs which is a good sign. He is only a baby and I would’ve thought that’s all he would’ve wanted to do but at first he was much happier just cuddling & sleeping with us. So hopefully he was just not up to it and now as he’s getting his strength back his personality will shine through !!!

Well this girl is very big but is a gentle giant !!!!!
    Hence the name Lady :D
She plays with layla mostly and the size difference is never an issue … Layla is definitely the boss here
She seems to like the kids too and all the playing and noise do not seem to phase her in the slightest. However in saying this if she were to go to a forever home with children I would think older children would be more suited as she still has some growing to do !!! All you have to do is look at those paws !!!!

This little man was a bit under the weather when he arrived but he is feeling a little better now :D
He is very very quite … I’m not quite sure if this is his personality or if it is because he’s just not feeling too well !!!
I also got the feeling that he wasn’t treated too well in the past by the way he crouches down if you raise your hand … (you know if you were saying STAY !! )
    More updates soon :D

What more can I say about Benson … He is an absolute delight !!
Full of fun and mischief but such a gentle little puppy …
He is great with my two boys !!
He’s good with all dogs we meet and his recall is good. He loves a swim. He does pull a little on the lead but with a little training this would be sorted out in no time. Unfortunately with between 3 and 6 dogs and puppies with me at any given time it is impossible to do this. Again I think a family that would do agility with Benson would be great. He is so clever and full of energy he would be a definite winner :D

So Rusty finally finshed his vaccinations and was out on his first walk. He was very good and came back when I called him. He stayed close enough and was fine with any of the dogs we met.
He is not great in the car but I think this will improve.
He is a very loving little pup who’s behaviour has improved so much since he came here however he can still be unpredictable and react badly to change and the unknown…. when this happens he means business !!! It is a fear based agression and can be ‘fixed’ but only with very strict routine and training !!
He well not try this on with me now but he will with strangers and anyone who he thinks he may get away with it !!
What this puppy needs is a home where they have experience in dog training and have the time to put in to him. If this happens his family will be rewarded with a very loyal little dog who loves nothing more that cuddling up to you on the couch :!: :!:

So Benson is here with me now and he is a funny one ….
My dogs like ice cubes but he absolutely loves them.. really !! He loves to steal things and run.. just for the fun of it .. anything will do .. toys .. socks .. hats ..  Best game ever he thinks :!: :!:
Very clever .. lots and lots and lots of energy … agility would be great for him … he clears my doggie gate no bother .. but he needs a good run off the lead every day !!!
He is very gentle .. great with my kids .. loves the company of the other dogs here and any he has the pleasure of meeting while out …Ellie is a favorite … can’t wait to meet her again he said !! but no one tell Missy please  He is vvv
Benson has been through the mill so to speak … he has had so many homes in his short life he really needs a stable family that are going to love him forever !!!

Rusty has been with us for 5 weeks now and judging by his reactions to any new situations we would think that he was left to his own devices where ever he was before he arrived in Ashton. He doesn’t appear to have been socialised with either people or dogs.
He was terrified when he arrived here.. he did not know what to make of the all dogs who are always very receptive to newcomers… he was growling and trying his best to hide behind me !! He also attached himself to me and had to follow me everywhere as he got so stressed out if I did not allow this.
Then Rusty got very sick. He visited Argyle & Bainbridge initally and was not good with Malcolm the vet at all, this continued to be the case in Cara where he spent a week.
Since he’s come home we have been working on these issues that he has. Any aggression seems to be fear based but he is slowly overcoming these fears.
Rusty is a very loving little chap who is most content when he is by your side .. or on your knee !! :D . He is only a puppy and and is very quick to learn. He will make someone a very loyal companion but he needs someone who will take the time to continue to work with him on any issues he may still have.

Holly is still with me patiently awaiting her forever home. She has a lovely nature and is always happy to see you coming. She gets on fine with my dogs however being a teenager (in doggie years) she can be a bit rebellious.. she has tried to oust Missy as the leader of the pack a few times but hasn’t managed to suceed :D Due to this we feel Holly would be better suited to a home where she would be the only dog and therefore have no competion to worry about !!!
