Hi, thanks for your reply. I don’t think setters ever grow up! Jasper can be a total clown at times especially when he gets excited. When his lead is produced he is just like a puppy and when he gets a lot of praise he just rolls over for a tummy tickle. On the other hand he can look so superior when he is sitting up on a chair or in the car.!
I have never had experience of setters before, but I think now they are a fabulous breed.bosunMemberI’ve just been looking at the other posts and spotted Chaz, the English Setter puppy. Wouldn’t Jasper and Chaz make a gorgeous pair of dogs. Very similar temperaments by the look of it.

bosunMemberJasper was learning some new tricks with Gavin the other day. He was quick to learn/possibly because there was food involved.
Have a look…

2014-05-06 13.49.42.jpgbosunMemberJasper is one beautiful lovable dog. I’m his Granny so I might just be a teeny weeny bit biased. He just loves his cuddles and to rest his head on your shoulder, still with two legs on the ground!!! He is in love with life and interested in everything. He is a real curtain twitcher. A little noise and he’s off to investigate. He is a great watch dog, with a lovely big deep bark. Never nervous with him around .
He is a very young 7 yr. old, like a puppy at times. A fab. dog and companion for some lucky person.

bosunMemberHi, I would just love this little chap, but then there would be two of us looking for a home.
He sounds like a great character whose personality will come out as he finds his feet.
bosunMemberDelighted Oscar has a lovely new home. I’m sure he will bring them joy also. He’s a very happy chappy and he spreads it around.
Good luck Oscar.bosunMemberOops, I should have said a " dog for all seasons "!!!!!!!!!!
bosunMemberVery handy indeed. I have a pair of spoiled brats who have to have a proper bowl. Then, when you don’t want them to they will drink out of a puddle.
Oscar seems to be a "man for all seasons".bosunMemberThey are indeed beautiful photos. Just look at those eyes, they say it all. He is a beautiful dog with a beautiful nature to go with it.
Obviously wonderful with children as well.bosunMemberWell Scrappy, you do tell a great story. Sounds like you landed on all 4 paws there. You seem to be keeping them on their toes. The exercise is good for them.
Have a great holiday, keep away from the baad sheep.
from,
Polly, Bosun, Bella, Jasper and Heidi. (wish we were there)bosunMemberDelighted to hear the good news. They’ve got a gem. Don’t you feel like a proud mother when they go off to their new homes. Kind of bitter sweet too.
bosunMemberLooks like you’ve pretty much got the perfect dog there just waiting for some lucky new owner. Someone will be getting a loving, clever little companion by the sounds of it. Game for anything and happy to snuggle up with you as well. An lot of goodies in a small package. You have done a great job with him.
bosunMemberLike everyone else I think Clayton is gorgeous. I would love him myself but I’m at my limit. However, I hate to tell you that, as 2 of my dogs are Tibetan Spaniels, your Clayton is a Tibetan Terrier!!! Fabulous breed and much sought after. Hope this helps, but it really doesn’t matter ‘cos he’s gorgeous anyway!
