MemberHi All, Charlie is in good form. He had another trip to Kerry, he loves country life between the sandy beaches and country roads he loves all the different walks . He loves barking at the gate at cows, horses and any poor unfortunate who passes by. Charlie continues to improve, he is no bother with us at all. He still gets frightened if people come too close but it all takes time. His favourite walks are with John & Hamish, he loves chasing balls and stones. Here are our 5 DID dogs on patrol
& two of Charlie displaying very good behaviour

MemberCharlie is in great form. He is coming on in leaps and bounds
Charlie is a big fan of the sea and runs in at any opportunity. We have started the grooming process and a lovely local lady has begun to work on Charlie’s locks. She was so good with him and saw beyond the frightened barking dog and she was rewarded by meeting the gentle little dog he is.
Charlie is growing in confidence and he is beginning to trust people more. He loves all my doggy gang and is very respectful of Charlie senior
It is amazing to see him starting to trust the people in our lives. I think our dogs have helped him and he is learning from them. Here are a few photos – one of the two Charliesimage.jpg

MemberThanks for all the good wishes, Charlie is doing well, full of beans
He is very nervous about any new experiences but he is getting there. I will put up some pictures during the week. We had hoped to get him groomed last week but he was very nervous with the groomer so John is going to try to groom him under professional supervision as we don’t want him looking like the dog on the spec savers add..

Snape is so happy, healthy & handsome, far removed from the frightened little dog who walked in my door. I am so happy to see Snape so content and loved

MemberWell my beautiful girl is with us 4 years next month
I cannot believe how the time has flown. We have multiplied since then and have rescued more dogs in distress and of course our collie Charlie, 19 years; not to forget Timmy the cat
Lucy is my little princess and we love her soo much. Lucy is never far from my side, she comes with us where every we go. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to adopt her as she has given us so much love & joy. She adores Hamish her boyfriend and he is smitten with her too. She takes no messing from the male dogs and they know she is the boss
she is such a lovely girl full of love & licks.
Thanks DID xximage.jpg

MemberThanks everyone for your kind words. Charlie decided to adopt us
He fits in so well with all our dogs and he loves chasing a ball with Hamish. He has such a smiley face and he is so happy with us. We all love him and we felt we could not let him go…. He is very special. We would love to try agility with him as I think he would be amazing as he is so fast. We will continue to work with him to overcome his fears. I think our dogs will have the greatest impact on him and through them he will gain confidence.
He loves running into the sea so it’s very hard to keep Charlie whiteimage.jpg

MemberCharlie has returned from Kerry, he just loved the beaches, I think he could have some Kerry blood
he has settled back in and we have been walking him twice daily, he is very energetic and loves the ball. He loves to jump up and catch it in his mouth.
He is very gentle and loving with us and our dogs. He is still very mistrustful of people. My brother stayed with us over night in Kerry and eventually after 24 hours my brother was able to approach Charlie, before that Charlie would bark at him.
Charlie would find it difficult to cope in a situation where there are a lot of people coming and going which causes him to get very stressed and he will bark. He is still fearful of people out-side. We use treats to calm him and the ball gets his attention also. So Charlie is taking baby steps and I see him copying my dogs. He loves to play and he will bring a teddy or a ball over and wait for it to be thrown. He sleeps with all my dogs, loves his food and has a bath and groom .angjo
MemberCharlie is enjoying his holidays. He requires a lot of exercise and runs for miles on the beach. He loves to chase a ball and has buckets loads of energy compared to my other bichons.
Charlie is very nervous around people who call to the house and those he meets on the walks. He will bark at them and at dogs he does not know.
I feel Charlie would be best suited to an adult only home with another dog. He will require long walks. He will require a special home and someone who is committed to working with him to overcome his anxiety which will take time. I cannot upload the video I have. So here is a picture.image.jpg

MemberHi all, we arrived in Kerry yesterday for our summer hols
Charlie was a great passenger even though it was 5 hours due to the bank hol. He settled in to our holiday home like he was always there. He was on two beach walks today, he loves chasing balls and stones. He is sleeping now after all the activity. He loves our dogs and they have accepted him . Hamish has taken a shine to him and he cuddles up close to him. When Charlie is with us he is so gentle and loving. He is full of licks and affection. He still gets frightened if people come too close on walkies or people call to the house. So we will continue to work with Charlie on his summer hol
here he is on the walkies

MemberThanks dogs rule for your advice
Charlie has settled in very well with us. He loves to gives loads of licks and cuddles. He brings his ball over and drops it waiting patiently for it to be thrown. He loves his walkies especially on the beach. He is a high energy dog and will required long walks.
He is still nervous of people and dogs, I brought him on a walk yesterday on his own and he barked at people and dogs, he seemed very unsure of himself. When he goes with my dogs he is more relaxed and at ease.
He is full of beans and very affectionate to us. He gets on well with our dogs. I would like to see him homed with another dog or dogs. We are taking things slowly as he needs time to overcome his fears and become socialised. Charlie is still very nervous around strangers and dogs. Charlie needs someone very committed to working with him. Here are a few photos, one with my collie Charlie, so we have two Charlies at the momentimage.jpg
