Thanks Colgan family yes her little ear is very cute alright – we think she looks like she is wearing a little french beret
She had a great time yesterday in the sun. We filled up the paddling pool for the dogs and they had a ball jumping in and out of it all day and then racing each other around the garden at top speed

022.JPGAliceDevMemberLibby has been with us here since last Wednesday and she really is a little dote. At first she was very nervous which is understandable as it was a big change for her coming here and getting used to all our own dogs. However, she has really settled in well now and is having a ball playing with them all. She is really good in the car, sleeps all night, and
is coming on with her house training. She will make a fantastic pet for some very lucky family

025.JPGAliceDevMemberAh he is beautiful – they are gorgeous pics
AliceDevMemberTwinkle has been with us nearly a year now. We all adore her and couldn’t imagine being without her. She is as mad as hatter, absolutely adores people and loves to play morning, noon and night She is so affectionate and when any of us comes home, even if we have just been out for ten minutes, she greets us with such enthusiasm it’s like she hasn’t seen us for years!!! Here are a few recent pics of her out and about She really enjoys paddling in the water and sometimes even has a little swim. She is gas, she gets in and swims in a tiny circle for a few seconds and then gets out again. She always looks very pleased with herself after doing it because she gets a big cheer and clap from us. If anyone heard us they would think we were crazy

twinkle 001.JPGAliceDevMemberOh, she is so beautiful
AliceDevMemberHi all, Twinkle here. I would like to wish everyone at Dogs in Distress a very Happy New Year!
I have had a lovely Christmas with my furry sisters and brothers. Santy came to visit us and brought us lots of lovely things. We had great fun chewing the zips out of the lovely new beds he gave us! We have nearly all our new toys demolished now but we still are working on a couple of the tougher ones! We had lots of lovely treats and we all had turkey and ham for our dinner – it was yum!
We have been going for lots of long walks to work off all the treats and when we come home we sleep all evening which our mam and dad think is great
I would like to say thank you so much to DID for helping me when I needed it. Everyone loves me here and I know I will be here forever so that makes me happy. I hope that in 2012 all dogs will be as lucky as us DID dogs.

We are delighted that Twinkle is staying here with us. She fits in so well here and we all adore her. Thanks a million to Kathy and Audrey and all involved with Dogs in Distress who, even when they have a lot going on in their own lives, work so tirelessly on behalf of all the dogs who need their help. Twinkle will keep everyone posted on how she is getting on

One of our dogs is 13 years old and can be quite grumpy at times. Twinkle seems to know to give her a wide berth at these times
AliceDevMemberGreat to get an update on Archie / Jacko. Delighted everything is going so well. Thanks Peppi

We were very sad to read about little Snowy but we are glad that she experienced so much love and kindness under the care of Dogs in Distress and her wonderful foster carers.
Twinkle is still getting on great here. She is such a happy, loving little dog. She is so affectionate and loves to snuggle up on your lap. When she is going asleep she loves to hide her little face under your arm or leg – its really cute
She loves to play and run with the other dogs and also loves her walks. She only has one dislike as far as I can see and that is cats! She loves to bark and chase them but I don’t think she would be brave enough to catch one. One hiss out of a cat and she turns on her heels
I only have one pic of Twinkle this time but it captures her giving her best ‘puppy eyes’

All going well with her. She is no trouble at all. Very clean and completely housetrained, loves giving cuddles, loves her walks, sleeps all night without a sound – an all round great little dog.
