She seems like a fabulous girl. I love the eyes. I used to see that in huskies. She looks like she enjoys the snow so if the forecast for this weekend is right then she will have some more fun.
Fantastic update from the husband, it’s really from the heart and appreciated.
Thanks for that, it really helps for her sake for finding her the right loving and deserving home.
Zora/Susie found her forever family today ….Im told it was a smitten afair altogether.
She will be in her new home for the 1st day of the new year.
So happy for her and the O’Halloran Family.
And well done to Emily who can now return home for christmas knowing her lovely lady is getting a fab home to call her own.
More snow means the happiest dog! You can just see the smile spread over her face as she runs through the snow. We went on a long walk last night and she just couldn’t get enough.
And more importantly, last Sunday, Susie’s future family came for a visit and i think everyone fell in love straight away. Susie used to be very wary of new people, and she has started to get much better with meeting strangers in the park, however when this family came, she was so relaxed and affectionate. . . i think she could sense that this family would be great for her. It makes fostering so rewarding (and bearable!) to know that this incredible dog will go to a forever home where they will love her and be so good to her. I’m just so happy.
Another foster parent will take Susie tomorrow as we’re heading back to the US for Christmas. breaks my heart knowing we won’t come back to her, but it makes it all worth it that in a short week, she’ll be in her forever home. She has brought so much to us as a couple, and to us individually. Quite a being, this Susie. I’ll post a few photos – haven’t been taking as many because I think she’s finally on to me and the camera!DSCN1915.JPG

Today, Susie went home with her forever family. Phillip, Stephanie, and little Rebecca came to pick her up, and it was immediately clear that Susie remembered them.
I’m so glad this gentle girl has a family of her very own, now. I will post pictures of Susie’s short time with us later today.
Happy New Year to Susie and her family.

Susie is settling in to her new home. She is so well behaved and really loves her long walks and runs. We have been teaching her to return off the lead and she is really a very intelligent dogChristmas 2010 080.JPG

It is so wonderful to see how Susie is settling in! We were thinking of her so much over the holidays and am so glad she was able to stay with a great foster family over Christmas, and that she is now settled into her forever home. Thanks for posting photos and updates – it brings a huge smile to my face. Please pass on some kisses and hugs from us – she’s quite a hugger!
Susie was delighted with the return of the white stuff…

Well it has been almost a year now and Susie has well and truely settled into her new home. She is an incredible dog and has made the house her own. She is now able to be let of the lead in the forest and will return ‘eventually’ when called, though I think it is more her decision then ours. She enjoys her walks/runs every day though is not one for the rain!!!
She has turned out to be the ideal family pet and is the first port of call for all who visit the house or indeed any house she visits.
Susie and her family would like to wish you all a very happy christmas. And a special thought for Emily and Family.
