Travis arrived today, thanks to Colette and David, and thanks also to Fianna for bringing his food, collar etc. He is a lovely strong boy, he had a bath, brush and dinner and now is snoozing at Graham’s feet – he does not seem to know what his bed is for but its early days.

Travis is settling well. Poor fellow has tummy bug and conjunctivitis and is on tablets and eye drops. He is still in good form despite this. He loves being brushed, petted and tummy rubs. He likes his toys, especially Ted who he carries around with him.

Ah Anne, Travis looks so at peace in that lovely photo
So sorry to hear he isn’t that well at the moment but it will pass. Thanks a mil for giving him his life back
Will be looking forward to his updates!
Travis is food motivated and will be easy to train. He is a big strong lovely dog to be proud of, and is looking for a wonderful forever home
Fianna
Travis is in great form – tummy better and eyes improving. we had been practising recall at home so we let him off lead in the park today for the first time. He was so well behaved – kept an eye on us and came when called. He was delighted with himself and is now flaked out on his rug – a good day all round!
I met the oh so handsom Travis today in Corkagh Park. He is a bundle of love and looking fantastic thanks to his fosterer Anne.
He has such a fab face and had a blast in the dog park. ![]()

Anne you have done a fantastic job with Travis just saw photo of him today and can’t believe he is the same dog we brought from the pound only last week. He looks so happy now such a contrast to the very sad looking lad we left with you. Delighted to hear he is feeling well again and wouldn’t those eyes just melt your heart. Well done. Colette
Wow – what a transformation. Travis has gone from ‘hang dog’ to ‘happy dog’ in the space of few photos! What a lovely dog
Thank you Claire for the gorgeous photo of Travis with his big smile! It was lovely to meet you and Tara. We had a great day in Corkagh Park yesterday. Travis really enjoyed himself in the dog park and was not phased at all at the big number of dogs and people. He behaved himself perfectly, played nicely with dogs of all shapes and sizes, male and female. He met and greeted adults and children gently. He really is a wonderful boy, he just loves to be loved and cuddled and told he is good -his little tail and whole rear end wags madly in response to positive words. He had his dinner and a big sleep when we came home, big day for a little man!
The gorgeous Travis came to stay with us yesterday. Coming from a foster home home where he was the only dog to our house with 3 big dogs was a big deal and there were a few territorial issues about who was top dog……boys will be boys. But I am delighted to report that after some hairy moments all 4 dogs slept together with no problems all night and today things are completely different
The first thing you need to know about this stunner is that he is a BIG boy(obviously crossed with a large breed). He weighs 29kg but acts like a puppy…..I have received several big paws in the mush while playing with him. He is quite a dominant stubborn boy when he doesn’t get his own way so would probably be best suited in a home with older children due to his size and weight. He is much happier today and has been playing with toys all evening. He is really affectionate and loves cuddles.
Great news that Travis is getting along better with his foster brothers and sister.
Poor Travis has had a rough 24 hours. He spent the night in the vets to have the doggie equivilent of an NCT!!!! He has been neutered, had a lump on his ear removed, had his back claws removed and his tear ducts flushed out. He arrived home with the dreaded "cone", blue bandages on his legs and a shaved ear!!!! Poor baby has been curled up asleep all evening. He weighed in at 28kg (I thought he was heavier) and is only about a year old (which explains his puppyness). He is a gorgeous boy who just needs some training and a forever home of his own

Poor Travis, I hope he will be feeling better soon.
Travis isn’t fond of the "cone"!!!!!
