Toto (or Teetor as we’ve been calling him) is great,
he is full of energy and much better with other dogs now. He’s met quite a few friendly big ‘uns which has made him a little less scared.
He found a salmon head down by the river and decided to roll in it quite disgustingly, I’ve bathed him twice since and he still smells of fish! He absolutely hates being wet, he must have had a traumatic experience with water. He just sits there all subdued and looks at me with terror in his eyes. It makes me feel quite guilty!
He will make an awesome pet for a family, a toddler grabbed his face as she was pushed past in her buggy and he didn’t even flinch. Was totally unfazed. I was very proud (and relieved!).
Well Rachel how is your little over the ranibow man doing ….has he been out meeting some more big dogs yet? Im sure that this problem will melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops!
We need some new photos and updates on this cute little man…….
He wont get a home if there are no new pics and updates ![]()
This is really important for the dog.
He is really a fab boy and deserves a second chance.
COME ON DORTHY – get weaving, Toto is waiting!!! What a smart little dog, looks like a real country gent. If he was a person I think he would wear plus-fours, tweeds, either a flat cap or a deer-stalker hat. Bet he would love to tear around in the countryside. Could be wrong of course, he might be a city boy! Whatever he is, he is one smart little dog.
I’m sure he’ll find a family soon as he is very cute and fantastic with people. I’m in England this week so not sure what the two of them are up to. When I left they were both happily snoozing.
I shall get some photos on here at the weekend when I’m back.
Rachel
We had the pleasure of meeting this little man today and what a little stunner

His pictures dont do him justice and whoever adopts him will be so lucky ![]()

Hi there, I did a home visit today and the family are wondering what Toto is like with cats? Could you post here to let them know.
Thanks
Toto (or Milo) has a new family! He goes tomorrow (Monday).
Thank you everyone for their help and interest. He will have a lovely new home near the sea where he can chase seagulls around to his heart’s content ![]()

This poor little man was brought back to us after 36 hours because he was barking at the families budgies
The family said that he was too stressed and totally fixated on the birds and it was for the best to give him back.
My heart goes out to this little fella, what must he think of us humans
Oh Toto, I’m so disappointed … I really hope you won’t be waiting too long before you are on your way to a ‘Forever Home’
Whatever happened to a settling in period and giving the little chap a chance to settle in to his new surroundings.
Delighted to hear he is back under the care of DID. Obviously he would bark at birds – he is a terrier, regardless of how sweet he may be – he IS a terrier. It was best to find out early that the home was not a good match and all that matters is that he is safe. What a difficult job it is to place dogs, I don’t envy anyone such decisions – I couldn’t do it. (Glad you are back Toto).
Very disappointing…
Sometimes I think that people don’t realise what can happen when you’re adopting a dog. They are living creatures and like us they need time to adjust ![]()
I bet there’s a lovely family waiting for this guy somewhere.
Good luck Toto!
I am sorry that this did not work out. I know that the people involved were really keen on Toto and they did seem to have done their research and considered what was involved but sometimes until you are faced with the reality you don’t really know what it will be like.
Like Indiana, I think it is best that this happened sooner rather than later for Toto.
