Toby you looked so much more relaxed now and bet you don’t know your self with all that grass and space to be a dog in….Well done to your foster mum Emma.

Just got a chance to upload some photos which are attached as promised. As you can see he loves Katie and has made himself at home – likes to lie on the table under the umbrella for the shade (doesn’t half love himself)! He swims every day and meets lots of other dogs on his walks, although isn’t too keen on my friends 4 agility collies bit too loud even for him!!! Hes a super dog and I really landed on my feet when I got him he’s such a pet and so clever too (although reckon we will have to work on the hamster issues!)
I will keep everyone posted as to how he is doing.tob1.JPG

Look forward to seeing more updates.

From Toby’s family
Been a while since i sent you any photos of Toby, he’s been with us over a year and a half now – two years in June. He’s an only dog now as a year ago I had to have Katie, my retriever, put to sleep as she had cancer, so that means he is even more spoiled. He is a fabulous addition to our family and loves nothing better than to go for a swim on the beach or stare intently at me if I dare to eat something in front of him (typical lab). Don’t know much about his history, but he took a very long time to get used to being handled, groomed and petted, but will now stand still (sort of, if being licked and having his whole body wag counts as still) long enough to be groomed, if you can put up with him eating his brushes hahaha. Hes a fabulous dog and a great pet and seeing Lexi looking for her forever home reminded me of when I first saw Toby ![]()

So handsome ![]()
Sorry to hear about your poor Katie
I have to say looking at the photos of Toby relaxing on the picnic table does my heart good, considering that he used to have a balcony alone. I hope the hamster issue got resolved. My Brandon has no patience for small – large furries, yeap, any of the animals really. With time, biscuits, u-turns, stepping out on the road, training classes, behavioural assessment…he’s pretty much..unchanged..but we love him just as he is ![]()

I’ve attached a pics of Toby with his new love daisy. He was very lonely after my retriever katie died. Daisy was unwanted because she was surplus to requirement after her previous owners had a baby "she’s too energetic" they said! !! Anyway tobys in love again and has daisy to cuddle at night ![]()
