DID Rescue
KeymasterUnfortunately the news was not good for poor Tia.
She has Cardio Myopathy for which there is no cure or medication that can change the prognosis. From the time of diagnosis the life span is between 6 and 12 months. We don’t know for sure how long Tia has had this condition but it may explain why she was abandonded.
Her very kind and thoughtful fosterer Aoife has agreed to keep Tia in long term foster care for DID. She will remain our responsibility.
Tia is happy and enjoying life at the moment but she will never be able for normal exercise.I met this girl the day the Warden picked her up wandering around and I was sure she would be reclaimed as she was in great condition and had a lovely shine on her coat.
It’s a sad day but Tia is very lucky to have such a great fosterer.August 10, 2012 at 11:14 pm #110951Indianna
MemberThey say dogs live in the moment so as far as Tia is concerned, all is well. She doesn’t know she has a heart problem, she will just be getting on with her life as part of a nice pack. Enjoy your days Tia, no-one knows what each minute will bring to any of us. You are a very important member of the great DID pack

MemberTia, just wondering how you are? Hope you are having more good days than bad. I’m sure your foster mammy has your stocking hung up for Santa. Hope you have a happy and healthy Christmas.
