I have this little guy home with me. Gave him a good wash and brush. He loved every minute and let me even clip off matted lumps around his eyes and ears. He is a great little guy and brilliant with the kids but very much out of sorts. Needs a bit of tlc but no better house than here for him to get that. He’s also a bit think so a few nice meals might help that. Going to get a collar today for him so I can see what he is like on a walk. I have some photos but can’t figure out how to upload.
June 6, 2009 at 7:00 pm #81987treacysMemberThis little man did great last night. Definitely house trained. Great hello this morning when I came down. Himself and Evie decided to sleep on the couch tho and curl up together. He really loves his cuddles. He tends to try to talk to you when he wants something. Definitely a people dog. Got some food to build him up a bit as he is a bit scrawney underneath all that hair. His only issue is he tends to be very possessive/aggressive over food. Gave him a pigs ear and he won’t let anyone near him without growling! He has an appointment with the Vet as his ears and dew claws are annoying him. Gona try some warm oil before hand. Best first foster ever
June 7, 2009 at 12:01 pm #85587GgirlsMemberGot a chance to visit the little chap, We all took a shine to him with a chorus of Awww, you know how girls are when they see something cute. You could see he was well used to children and company. My three girls loved him straight away, even my 5 year old had a little cuddle . He loves a playing with cuddly toys
We are on the waiting list for a home visit and would love a chance to adopt this little guy. Plenty of TLC to be given here
June 10, 2009 at 9:15 am #85370treacysMemberSolo has settled in here without a problem. He loves having Evie as company. The two of them spend most of the day playing and exploring the garden. He’s a happy little dog and content once he has company or someone to talk to him!! I have been taking his food away from him since the time he had the pigs ear to see how he will react and have had no reaction since. Must have been just a once off with him settling into a new home.
June 11, 2009 at 2:09 pm #83874treacysMemberSolo has been a little unhappy with his name and won’t even look at us no matter how hard we tried. We went though every name we could think of suddenly he got all excited when we called him Benji He’s delighted now we can call him by a name he recognises.
I left him for a while today and when I came home I got a great big welcome. This little guy could nearly talk to you.
Heres a few more pics

June 12, 2009 at 9:10 pm #83719ptahaneyMemberLooks like my Mum’s dog did when he was younger.
June 15, 2009 at 6:03 pm #82638treacysMemberThis little guy was neutered today. I have him home now and he is feeling really sorry for himself. He also got his dew claws sorted and his ear properly cleaned. He is so sore that he just sits and crys. If I move out of the room he tries to follow me but can only do a few steps and then sits and cries to be picked up. I hand fed him a little bit of food as he hasn’t eaten since yesterday either. Hopefully he will have a good night and have some rest.
June 16, 2009 at 8:35 am #85059treacysMemberWell Taylor didn’t have a great night. His legs are really at him. He is really down in the dumps. He just wants to be by my side and get loads of cuddles. He is exhausted but hopefully will get some sleep today.
June 18, 2009 at 2:34 pm #85792treacysMemberHad to go back to vet as he just wasn’t settling. He was very sore and had been bleeding inside his wound. So now on anti-inflammatories to settle everything. Hes a bit better but still feeling very sorry for himself. We have his favourite slipper and cuddly teddy by him to keep him company and hopefully by next week he will be able to play with them again.
June 18, 2009 at 3:48 pm #85692SileTMemberAwh the poor baby, hope he starts to feel better soon. When Gobo got his done I ended up taking the week off work and sleeping on the couch downstairs with him on the floor crying up at me for a few nites, he was very bad feeling sorry for himself
June 22, 2009 at 11:21 am #85912treacysMemberWell Taylor is getting back to his old self. Even with his collar on he is trying to play with his cuddlies. He got his bandages off his hind legs on Friday but just as the vet was checking him he had maneouvered in such a way as to make himself bleed, so it was back with the bandages until the stitches come out.
The poor thing has been through so much between the Pound, Fostering and neutering he must be so confused. He is a great little fella all the same. He’s great with the kids and our little Evie. He’s sleeping through now and not a peep out of him. He wakes at 7 every morning for his breakfast and then just wants to play and also loves to have company.
June 27, 2009 at 7:53 pm #86072InexileMemberGot the chance to met Taylor aka Solo the other day and I think he is fabulous. He is a sweetie. I loved watching him and Evie playing – they were ever so gentle with each other. Taylor is in good shape and once his stitches settle down will make some one a great companion.
