July 23, 2010 at 11:27 am #99329justineemoeMemberI´m writing this post from sunny Galicia in the north west of Spain. We are staying with our friends here who are also great animal lovers, they have a menagerie of rescued animals here.
We will be back next Thursday 29th, so I wanted to let anyone who is interested in meeting Sylvie know that it won´t be possible until the Saturday after the 29th at the earliest. I believe that a home visit must be completed first before introductions are made and all offers of homes will be considered.
Sylvie is staying with our friends in Portobello. We phoned them after leaving their house on Wednesday evening to ask how she was settling in. They said she was lying down on the carpet staring at the front door waiting for us to come back! Awww, I know that she will have a great time with my friends once she gets over the initial shock of our departure!
July 29, 2010 at 10:53 am #99503buzzsmomMembercant wait to hear how Sylvie enjoyed her holidays and how she is coping with stardom , being dog of the month.
July 30, 2010 at 7:21 pm #99558geminiMemberShe is a beauty! Would it be possible to meet her? How do you think she would get on with a cat?! We have a lovely 4 year old cat but she can be a bit scared – I wonder would they get along… Thank you.
August 1, 2010 at 8:09 am #99610rosstoniMemberSylvie spent her first night in her for-ever-home. Her introduction to our other (very spacial) DID boy Shumba went very well and he is beside himself having another 4 legged member to the family. The sheep at the glass door gave her a bit of a fright and she is not to sure of the horses but I think this city girl will settle into country life very quickly, lets just hope she doesn’t get an affinity to the cow poo Shumba has!!!! Jesse my 9 yr old is keeping up her training and the poor girl has to do sit, (lie)down and up before she gets 1 treat but she doesn’t seem to mind. As soon as Sylvie and Shumba sit still long enough for us to take some pics we will put them up.
August 2, 2010 at 9:37 am #99664buzzsmomMemberOh I am delighted to hear that someone saw the beauty in this gorgeous creature .I look forward to seeing the updates.
August 2, 2010 at 11:18 am #99667IndiannaMemberMe too for the up-dates. She is a STUNNING dog and am sure she will not let her new family down.

sylvie2.jpgOctober 20, 2010 at 10:09 pm #101994justineemoeMemberHi! This is Sylvie’s fosterer Justine checking in. I’m delighted to see those pics of Sylvie and Shumba together – they look so happy – thank you so much for taking on not one but two DID dogs.
Sylvie was a dote to foster! We have another foster dog now – little Cea Belle – she is also gorgeous – but in a different way to Sylvie.
My description of Sylvie is "happy go lucky" – she’s such a ray of sunshine!
I hope you enjoy sharing your lives with her as we did during the time she was here with us. Take care and thanks for the update – I really appreciate seeing how well she is getting on with you. Hope you are all keeping well.
