This lovely boy is very affectionate.
He is neutered, great with kids of all ages, and fully house trained. He loves his walks and is just learning to play fetch in the garden. (I don’t think anyone has tried to play that with him before, so he doesn’t quite know what to do with the ball, once he has it, but he is starting to bring it back now )
I keep him on the lead for the time being, but we are working on recall
Training is going well… not a surprise, as he is super smart His forever family will, of course, need to put some more work into training, but that is never over with any dog anyways
He loves company and attention and every bit of love comes back tenfold
Hopefully, he will find his forever family soon and bring them lots of happiness

Well this fab little fella has been with us for just over a week.
He is lovely boy and gets on great with his human foster brothers and his fur foster brother & sisterHe is fully house trained and sleeps all night in his own bed!
He walks very well on the lead and loves to be off the lead to play and run around, we are still working on recall, but he is a very fast learner. He knows all the other commands like sit ,stay ,leave it.
Yes he really is a very clever dog.He likes a walk and loves to play in the garden, but he does like his own space and loves his little naps & quite time during day

July 1, 2014 at 7:31 pm #120733Fran13MemberHi, do you have any idea how Sport is with cats? Thanks.
July 5, 2014 at 6:45 pm #120760MarybhMemberHi Fran13.
We don’t have cats ,so sport does not live with cats , but we do have people around us with cats and he never seems to mind them when they cross our garden or walk on the fence
Knowing this gentle little boy he would love to just play with them, if we did have any

They fell totally in love with sport and I must said it was love at 1st sight for Sport. Below is a lovely email I got this after from Anne Marie his new mom!
Hi Mary
Lovely meeting you all yesterday. It was so very sad leaving.
Sport has arrived safely to the Isle of Man and is settling in nicely. There was harldy anyone else on the boat back and so we had the dog lounge to ourselves. Sport had a couple of bonios, then snuggled up into his bed for a good sleep.
Sport is so cuddly!!! He slept on our bed when we arrived back and Pedro woke to Sport kissing him.
My mum’s just been round to see the little fella and has also fallen in love with him. He’s now sleeping on the sofa at the moment – totally tired out from his travels.Big hugs to all. We’ll make sure to pop into see you with Sport when we do a trip to Ireland again. Sport would be delighted to see you.
Shall keep you updated on how he’s doing.
Thanks so much for everything.
Photos to follow.
Biggest best wishes
Anne Marie

August 6, 2014 at 10:27 pm #121033MarybhMemberUp Date on Sport, now called Alfie. From 30th July.
Hi Mary.
Alfie took a trip upto Pets at Home this evening and absolutely loved it. He’s been playing with the new squeeky toys he picked out from the shelves himself – his favourite is a a big squeeky chicken. He’s tired himself out and is now snoozing with a big cute smile on his face.
Big best wishes

August 6, 2014 at 10:30 pm #121034MarybhMemberUp date on Alfie from 3th Aug.
Hi Mary
Hope all is well?
Alfie has enjoyed his first full weekend here. To stop him getting cabin fever what with the limited walks he has to do for the next few weeks he’s been absolutely spoilt with trips upto the Pets at Home – the house is full of squeeky toys Our best friend who lives just down the road has a good sized garden so one of us goes there at lunchtimes during the week – it’s just the right sized walk right now and Alfie gets to play with the butterflies . Then the other one of us collects him on the way back from lunchtime walks with the neighbours collies and we all walk back together. Alfie really enjoys the walk back with the collies He also loves the promenade – we took him there yesterday.
He’s settling in very well. He’s such a special boy – such a sweetie – we totally adore him.
Shall write again soon.
Big best wishes
Anne Marie. xxx
