Sophie is very heavily pregnant, we are waiting to hear back about a rescue space, if it is available she will need transport ASAP, updates to follow.
December 12, 2009 at 1:51 pm #91113ladlesMemberI met Sophie this morning. She is a lovely friendly doggie. Her tail was waging like mad. She probably does not really know what is ahead of her when she gives birth. She was very sad to have to go back into her kennel. She is enormous with bump. I hope she does not have to give birth in Ashton and if so hopefully not alone. If it happens btween now and Monday morning the changes are she will be alone. No word of any rescue space yet.

December 13, 2009 at 6:50 pm #91170ladlesMemberKay and Kim, you are both amazing. I am so excited and was so relieved to hear that she was not alone giving birth, and how fanatstic that she is safe and warm with you Kay. I’d say she have a least 8.
December 13, 2009 at 7:02 pm #91171ladlesMemberActually it was flippant of me to guess that she will have so many puppies. I hope she does not have that many as the continuous labour would be awful for her and there are too many puppies in this world. However many she gives birth to, I hope they are all healthy and get to live with good human beings and that there is a lovely warm home waiting for Sophie after she has completed her mothering. Thanks again to the midwives!
December 13, 2009 at 7:12 pm #91174justineemoeMemberyou’ve jinxed it – she’s definately gonna have 8 now!!
What a relief that Sophie is being loked after. It was worrying to think of her going through the birth alone. Very well done Kay.
December 13, 2009 at 7:40 pm #91178kaydoyleMemberFour little angels so far. I was like the nervous grandmother – it was Nicole and Jim doing all the work with poor mammy. She is such a sweetheart – she let them help, change beds and give her drinks without a peep. She is a loving and gentle girl. Its awful to think that people would throw her out in her condition as she is such a trusting and loving girl God love her, she gave birth within a couple of hours of us bringing her home surrounded by strangers. Nicole took a couple of pictures, will update more soon. We dont know if they are boys or girls yet as we dont want to disturb her. She has just had a big roast dinner so hopefully she will be finished now and get some rest
