Picked up this little man this evening and he was so happy on the lead crossing the road to meet me then …..he realised very quickly something was up and was climbing the leg of his owner…..put him on a dog bed with treats and he wasn’t interested in any just became very nervous…..then we travelled to meet the lovely Lisa (roverdill) and Lola…..there wasn’t a peep out of him on the journey he sat very quitely and still didn’t touch the treats….got to Lisa and when I lifted him out he went completely ridgid….poor little chap didn’t know what was going on but he will settle down when he gets back on firm ground in Lisa’s Im sure of it…..have to say he looks very well looked after ….lovely soft coat and he was very clean….Looking forward to hearing all about his adventures with the lovely Lola….

Well Simba or Rocco as his real name is came to stay with me last night and what a sweetheart he is. He was very nervous when I collected him from Audrey (thanks for meeting me with him :) ) but once we got home and he got to have a little sniff around and say hello to my pair he was great. It took about 5 mins for himself and Lola to be best friends and they spent the whole night tearing around the place playing and even Toby my other dog started to join in on the play which he never does. Every so often Toby would realise he was playing and give himself a fright and then start grumbling at poor Rocco but Rocco just shrugged it off and ran over to Lola instead so he is very laid back and non confrontational.

Rocco understands sit and into bed and seems to be well behaved. There wasn’t a peep out of him once I put them all to bed and I got a great greeting from him when I came down this morning, he is a very affectionate little man. He is as funny looking too…a real sturdy little thing with the shortest little legs, such a dote and as Audrey said he is in great condition.

Someone will be very lucky to get this little man. I will get some photos over the next few days and post up on how he is doing.

This little man will be wormed, microchipped, neutered and have at least his 1st vaccination before going to his new home :D

Well this little fella is near impossible to get a picture of as he just never stops moving..managed to get these two but will try to get some better ones over the weekend.

He is still as good as gold…a real little character and just so affectionate..when you pick him up or he jumps onto your knee he just wants to lick you to bits…he really is a wonderful little guy and I can see him just settling into any family as he is so laid back and friendly. He does like to play and run around though but he so small that its easy to keep up with him. He seems to love other dogs so I think he would settle very easily and happily into a home with another dog too

Well this definitely is a different dog from the scared little man I met on that first evening..he is just such a great little dog (I’m a touch smitten with this one in case you hadn’t guessed ;) ), he is so affectionate and happy all of the time…his little tail is constantly wagging and he just wants to lick you all the time.
He is housetrained, marked a couple of times the first night but sure that is to be expected in a new house with new dogs and since then he has gone out the back each time and asks to go out if the door isn’t open. Here are some new pics of this little sweetheart

Out for a little stroll. He is good on the lead…can be a bit stubborn if he finds something he wants to sniff at but its easy enough to get him moving again.

He loves his toys and does the cutest little stance on his back legs when waiting for you to throw one

Waiting for treats with his new buddy Lola and having a short nap in between playing.

he is like a little meercat alright Audrey and he says thanks for the snuggles :D

Well my little angel got neutered yesterday. He slept most of yesterday evening and is a bit quiet today but in good form and as attectionate and lovely as ever.
He now understands stay and down (as in off the couch) and is very obedient. I leave the back door open and he loves to run in and out especially when playing with my pair. He will bark if he hears other dogs barking but stops once you tell him to. He loves to curl up on your knee for cuddles and a little snooze

He really is a special little man and deserves a wonderful forever home where he can be spoiled and loved.

Little Rocco is doing great. He recovered from his neutering almost instantly with no feeling sorry for himself or anything…just a little tired at first and then completely back to normal…what a little trooper.

He is still as happy and affectionate as ever and has won over my two completely. Lola is madly in love with him I think and Toby is not a dog that plays with any other dogs at all (except for Lola) but yet he has been playing with Rocco a lot which is amazing and all down to Rocco’s lovely nature.

I think this little guy would love a home with another dog or dogs as he is so sociable and just loves to play with Toby and Lola although he would probably settle in a home without one just as easily as long as he had a knee to sit on in the evenings and someone to give loads of licks and kisses to ;)

He really is a wonderful little guy and as much as I am hoping for a very special forever family for him I am also heartbroken at the thoughts of him leaving us. If I only had a bigger house or a lotto win I would definitely be joining the ranks of the failed fosterers with this one….

Rocco has had his stitches removed now and is all healed after his neutering.

He has also decided to show his more feisty Jack Russell side which comes out when he is feeling nervous or threatened so whoever takes this little guy will need to understand this and work with him as when he is feeling safe and secure he is just the most affectionate and lovely little man ever.

He has decided that if he is going to live with another dog he would preferably like it to be a female dog although he will consider certain friendly male dogs but would have to interview them first to see if they meet his requirements.

He has also discovered the fun of a tennis ball and will chase it for hours if you let him…bringing it back for you to throw it…he looks so funny running off after it too with his teeny tiny little legs…if you don’t pick it up straight away to throw it he will pick it up run around in a little circle and drop it again just in case you hadn’t seen it…sometimes Lola jumps in when he drops it and steals it from him and he has to go chase her to get it back…its so funny to see them running around, one minute the ball in Lola’s mouth and then next in Rocco’s

Overall this little guy is just a very sweet, affectionate and funny little man with a sensitive and nervous side so needs a home where that will be recognised and understood…in return he will bring so much love and fun into the home that you will be as smitten with him as I am within a very short time.

He is doing great…he has had his vaccinations and has been microchipped so is all ready to go to a new home once he finds the right one that will appreciate him for the wonderful little character he is.

He is still playing with the tennis ball for as long as you throw it to him, loves nothing more than cuddling up on your knee and he loves playing with Toby and Lola. Some more pics of him below although he is not the easiest to get photo’s of as he is always on the move….
