Poor Shelley is having a heart attack.
I gave Johnny Hobo a wash, cut and blow dry and she is horrified at the mess I made of it
. She is hoping that I don’t attempt to butcher her long, flowing locks too and her eyebrows are giving her that perpetual surprised look even more – too funny!!!!!
She is still keeping an extremely close eye on her feline buddy Fletch
and is a happy soul out playing with her canine mates and a ball of some description.
She is such a beautiful dog in both looks & personality and extremely well-behaved. I have a stair gate to prevent the mob from tearing up and down the stairs like loonies. The rest of the gang will take EVERY opportunity to have a game of chasing if the gate is left open or they manage to open it themselves (!) but Shelley will sit and wait patiently on the right side of it – even if I leave it open for hours on end. She is such a doll <3.

Holy moly
– I’ve just realised that Shelley is down at the bottom of page 2! NOT the place to have the queen of our castle
.
I’m really taken aback that Shelley is still here with us – she is BY FAR the easiest foster dog we have ever had……to the point that I almost forget she is here
. She is a dream to walk and her recall is 100% perfect – even when there is a cat tormenting her!
Some photos below of Shelley out enjoying the weather/helping me tidy the garden yesterday. In the end we ignored all the fallen branches and just played "chase the tennis ball" for 1.5hours solid. Her 20 bellies have now reduced dramatically and she really needed the burst yesterday after her walk in the morning as the weather has been so awful for the past week. I probably derailed her diet slightly this morning as we had a bit of a pancake party for breakfast – as you do on the day that’s in it
.
She has no issues at all around food, eats what you give her, doesn’t beg for food when you are eating and takes food from your hand in the most gentle fashion ever. She reminds me of the Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey – all elegance and good manners but with a great spark of fun underneath it all.
Shelley turns heads when she is on the beach for her walks – her coat and colouring are stunning. Her impeccable behaviour is also commented on frequently
. Her favourite thing is to wander up to wherever you may be sitting and gently lay her nose on your lap. She is the most adorable woofer and would love to find her human so that she can lay her nose down permanently
