ah doesn’t he look gorgeous with his new do ![]()
I notice the last posting was June 3rd, is this little chap still in foster care I have adopted a 3month old springer X and think Scruffy would be a great friend for Jessie. I am considering fostering too but am convinced that I would not be able to part with them, and would end up with a house full!
Debo
I know what you mean Debo about finding it hard to part with a foster fur baby……..and so……….
Scruffy has asked if he can adopt me!
Thank you all so much for your interest in him so far – I promise to keep you posted on this next stage of his life.
A huge thanks to all the lovely ladies in DID who were involved in his care up to now and for giving me the chance to look after him now.
Well done Scruffy. You could not have picked a better person to adopt, excellent choice, good boy. Please let us know how your person training gets on.
oh well done ! I am thrilled for you . Sure how could he not adopt you, I hope you have many happy years together.
Not just a pretty face Scruffy……good choice of a forever home!
Well done Scruffy, great choice of owner
What a great life you have ahead of you now
Congrats Evelyn he’s gorgeous ![]()
ah Evelyn Im just delighted for both you and Scruffy. That is wonderful news. He always did seem right at home in your photos so looks like he knew what was happening from the start
Thank you all so much for your very kind words – I’m really thrilled that Scruffy chose mine as his forever home. I’ve been delaying replying to you all because I thought I would change his name but to be honest, he’s been with me too long now (nearly 5 weeks) to change it – all the names I’ve been trying out just don’t seem to fit him. So, Scruffy he will remain. ![]()
I also think the name Scruffy suits him. Will Mr Scruffy be helping you with the fostering of other needy dogs? He can show them his fireplace and all its lovely ‘toys’ -what fun!
Sooo Happy for you both, if ever there was a perfect fit it is you two!
Debo
Dear Evelyn
I am so thrilled to hear that you are keeping Scruffy. One of the cutest looking dogs I have seen in ages, he is just gorgeous. And he sounds like a fantastic natured dog too!
Please keep me posted on how it’s going, although I know he has been with you for a while now, so has already settled in. He won’t know he’s born!! He’s a very lucky dog – and so pleased for you too.
I wish you both every happiness. With kind regards, Caroline.
This little man is now in his forever home
I met him this morning and he looks fantastic and so happy
Well done Evelyn and congratulations ![]()
Thanks again for all your lovely messages and a special thanks to you Kay for all your support. Its like Scruffy was always here, we have fitted right in together. We love our walks, especially down at Seapoint – even better when the tide is out and I can let him off the lead to chase the seagulls! We meet loads of other dogs down there, some of them DID adoptions, and Scruffy has playtime with them all. I’ll post up some new photos soon. Kind regards, Scruffy and Evelyn.
Hello everybody, it’s me….Taffy (but you probably all remember me as Scruffy). My mammy never really got used to my old name so we both decided on this new one ….. I like it – do you? Well, we’ve been having great fun since we last spoke with you all. We recently discovered the dog parks in Marley Park and Shanganagh Park. These are great places where me and my buddies can hang out together without being on leads. We can run and chase and play with each other in there without having to stay beside our mammies and daddies all the time. Here is a photo of some of us:
We also go for early morning walks down the pier (even though my mammy gives out about getting up so early, she is secretly glad and enjoys these walks as much as me). It’s great there – I found lots of dead fish I can roll around in! This is me on the pier:
I’ve met loads of new friends – especially my neighbours Pippa, Tony and Max who I play with on the green beside our houses. Even though they are big (2 x retrievers and 1 x labrador), I love playing with them. Here we all are (its a bit blurry cos we were running around):
