MemberScarlett loves to chase the birds away on our morning walks and today she met a really stubborn little fella who flew around and around her just out of reach!
Well Scarlett refused to give in and spent a good five minutes tearing around in a circle after him – while all the rest of us stood patiently waiting to resume our walk!! The others kept looking at me as if to say "What is she at????"
At the weekend we had visitors and we took out the baby bath to keep the cans cool with ice. As you can see from the photos below, Scarlett had other plans for it!!
She is a real little character!CAM_1281.JPG

Need to go and get a lottery ticket and if I win I will retire to the country with lots and lots is space

MemberHere are some photos of the "Scarlett harlot" on her hols in Clare!
She absolutely loved it – the long walks on the beach, chasing the ball, falling into rock pools and studiously avoiding the waves at the water’s edge!
All six canines and five humans had a blast!!

MemberScarlett continues to thrive! She is getting bigger by the day and is picking up a few tricks from the others – some good, like how to sit patiently and wait for a treat; some not so good, like barking at anyone who goes up the road past our window!!!
She is an extremely happy little girl – definitely a "cup half full" merchant. She loves everyone here and wags herself inside out to greet us when we come in. She is up for ANY sort of play going and always finds a willing buddy here to play tug or chasing or wrestling with!
She is an absolute stunner. We will be very sad to say goodbye to her but she really needs a family of her own where she can continue to learn and develop. A great girl.

MemberWell the bould Scarlett was spayed the other day
and I felt really sorry for her. She had to overnight in the vets cos she had surgery on a little hernia at the same time and was very sore. She also doesn’t cope very well with new situations and new people (initially) so she found her little veterinary sojourn quite stressful!
She is however THRILLED to be home now and has coped amazingly well with her cone. Not one of mine kept their cone on for more than 24 hours but Scarlett’s is still in situ and she has mastered moving around with it brilliantly.
She is in foster with us over 3 months now. When she came, she weighed four kilos, she now weighs 13.6 kg!!!
Scarlett continues to be a lively girl but she is the most affectionate, loving and loyal little lady. We will really miss her when she goes.

MemberWe reached the final stage of Scarlett’s journey yesterday when she headed off to her forever home. It was with very heavy hearts that we let her go – another coup for the workers in Kleenex!!! – But we couldn’t be happier with her new home.
Karl came to meet her on Wednesday and it was absolute love at first sight – I wasn’t a bit surprised that Karl fell head over heels for Scarlett in 0.2 seconds but what was intriguing was how quickly Scarlett fell for him!
My shy little lady who greeted every new person in her life with suspicion and cautious barking was cuddled up beside him in the space of 3 minutes, I kid you not!!! So SHE picked HIM!
She headed off yesterday in her spanking new collar and lead ( PINK so Karl really understands the ladies!
) with wagging tail and not a backward glance. Best of luck, sweetheart and please keep in touch!

MemberUpdate from Scarlett (now Amber’s) adopter Karl;
Amber is almost 10 months old. I adopted back in October 2013 and since then we’ve never looked back. She’s a complete dream to come true. Initially, I was a little worried and hesitant about adopting a Springer Spaniel as I have always believed and thought them to have massive amounts of energy and constantly on the go; well Amber, like any other puppy does have high energy levels which I’m very happy about as it’s a healthy sign but Amber has also adapted to my life and my energy levels which I’m happy to say.Amber is so easy going and once she gets her walk and some decent play time with me like an ol game of tugging with her rope, she’s sorted. I’ve seen another side to Springer Spaniels and I’d recommend adopting one any day. I can’t imagine my time without her and her other furry sibling Rua the Husky feels the exact same way.
