July 22, 2011 at 7:51 pm #105794angjoMemberSaul arrived this afternoon and is settling in very well He is in love my little Bichon Lucy and follows her around . He is getting on well with Hamish and Charlie. He went for his first walkie down the beach and then ate a good dinner. All four dogs are resting now He is good on the lead and he is very affectionate sitting on our knees and looking to be petted. He is a lovely little fella and so tiny he will need to put on a few pounds I think. He just got groomed today too. I will put up some pic’s but it was hard to get him looking at the camera.
He seems happy with the other dogs and they will show him the ropes. will update soon[attachment=0]july2 001.JPG[/attachment

July 067.JPGJuly 23, 2011 at 8:04 pm #105803angjoMemberSaul has settled in really well He slept all night and no acidents.
He has eaten all his food and is in great form. He is getting on with all the dogs and loves his walkie and is good on the lead. He did not bark until today I was beginning to wonder if he could bark but once he got going he was in fine voice He loves a hug and sitting on a knee and he is as bright as a button and very loving

Saul is really starting to relax and settle in. He has learnt alot from my dogs and I would love to see him homed with another dog.He is great in the car. He is sleeping every night not a peep out of him and he goes out-side to do his business. He takes great interest in everything that is happening and loves to give loads of licks He is great on the lead and trots along with the other 3 dogs. He has met Timmy the cat from a distance but seems to have no interest in him, its like he has not seen one before and Timmy seemed relaxed with him.The first few days he could not sit still and he was watching my dogs taking naps between walkies and playing and now Saul has taken to having naps himself
He is coming on holidays with us at the weekend, so he is packing his bag and he will be spending his time on the beach having a ball

July 26, 2011 at 6:02 pm #105853angjoMemberDelighted Saul is staying with us, he did steal our hearts with his big brown eyes and his loving ways. He has settled in so well and gets on so well with the other dogs, it would have broken our hearts to let him go. He is settling more each day and I think his coat is starting to grow already Thanks to Kathy, Marie and all at D.I.D for the amazing work you do. xx
Here is Saul and Lucy having a nap

July 27, 2011 at 8:25 am #105875ColganFamilyMemberI second that!! I think all of us failed fosterers could nearly have a section of the website to ourselves!!
July 27, 2011 at 11:25 pm #105848angjoMemberI am delighted to be part of the failed fosterer’s club We have renamed Saul and he is now called Archie, I think it suits him. He is a gem of a dog, he is so good I still cannot believe how he just fitted in with no fuss. He is a gentle soul with lots of love to give
July 29, 2011 at 1:01 am #105895DID RescueKeymasterI just knew this would happen
I did not say it out loud at the time but I just knew you would never let him go.
Imagine Miss Lucy with her own personal Harem i wish I was that lucky.
You could have not found a better home little man and off on your hols already
I think I need to be adopted and have a great life and no worries.
Delighted for you little man you do not realise how lucky you are.July 31, 2011 at 10:03 pm #105927angjoMemberThanks Marie . Archie is in fine form. He is getting stronger and can now jump up on the couch himself, the first few days he did not seem to have the energy to get up himself. He has his bag packed and is ready for his hols tomorrow . we were due to go on saturday but my poor mum broke her wrist and needed an operation but she is doing great. The rest of the gang are doing great, Hamish has a new hair do and is so handsome Lucy is delighted with all the male attention and my charlie will love being back in his native kerry .
Tomorrow we are on the road with one mother in a cast, 4 dogs, one cat, myself and John Watch this space for the next installmentAugust 10, 2011 at 4:52 pm #106026angjoMemberArchie ( saul) is doing great. He is only his holidays in Kerry at the moment and loving every second! He is getting along with the other dogs, enjoys walks on the beach, drives in the car and relaxing on the couch.
