Yesterday Viego learned a new command, he can now give the paw and wave. He learns really very quickly, however the usual collie behaviour is missing, he is a very calm and quite dog in the house. Yesterday we got only a short glance when we wanted to go for the evening walk, then he turned around and kept on snoring – do we seriously expect him to leave his comfy bed???? He is not very much into toys, but he loves his treats which makes it easy to teach him things Outside he is quite lively but in a very well behaved manner.
October 4, 2009 at 3:56 pm #88833LizMemberViego has had his first Agility lesson today, he was doing it pretty well.(There has to be one more treat in this tunnel, I’ll only come out when I’ve found it!!!!)Yesterday we went for a walk inGlendalough and he was busy watching those wild goats, he is almost as good in jumping along the hillside as them Ginny (Mac) is still the boss and he accepts it without questioning. He would be great as a second dog, he loves all other dogs without exception and subordinates if neccessary.

October 18, 2009 at 3:46 pm #82785mydogmaxMemberHeya, Russell/Viego is in my house now.
Settled in straight away, friendly and happiest chewing on a bone outside. He would suit an outdoorsy type person with time on their hands to go adventuring together!
Will post recent pics as soon as I can.October 18, 2009 at 3:56 pm #82154kaydoyleMemberThanks a million Anna for taking this baby in Im sure your little girl and dog will keep him busy

October 19, 2009 at 8:15 pm #83480mydogmaxMemberOk one last picture! and an update.
Russell is a typical puppy, loves attention and sleeping.
Very very good at listening when told no.
Walked this morning with him, strong on the lead, very friendly to other dogs.
Have only heard him bark once so far…
Ok here’s the thing his pictures don’t do his lovely eyes justice, in person he is even cuter! The photos also do not show how tall he is, long graceful legs and slim torso.
He is really a big fan of playing with other dogs.

Lovely puppy,October 28, 2009 at 2:01 pm #89127animalhelperMemberI met the gorgeous Russell today and what can I say…. He is a sweetheart!! Bundles of fun, love and cuddles.
Still such a bouncy puppy and would be a fantastic candidate for agility as he does listen when told what to do, and it would also help decrease the energy levels
Whoever gets this lovely fella will be very lucky, he was so good getting his vax and chip.
(I also want to run away with little Max…. ) -
