Ronnie was rescued from Ashton Pound in 2007 by Dogs in Distress. In July of that year he was adopted by Nichola and since then, for the past 6 years, they have been so happy together.
Ronnie was diagnosed with a serious heart condition in October 2012 which was treated on an on-going basis since then. Sadly Ronnie passed away suddenly on the evening of Monday 15th July after a short walk.
Nichola contacted DID to sincerely thank the volunteers and foster family for everything that they did to help Ronnie and rescue him from the pound all those years ago. She says; “He was an amazing gift to have in our lives and every minute of the last 6 years have been happier because of Ronnie. We really don’t know what we will do without him, he was such a huge part of our family and our lives.”
Lovely images of a beautiful dog. To be part of a nice pack, have food, water and shelter is all dogs ask. He had all of that and so much more. You are in a very difficult place right now, there is no easy way through it but please take strength from knowing that you cared for him every second he was with you, he belonged and was loved.
