Oh he is so beautiful, he is the image of our guy Bruno who came out of Ashton nearly two years ago! The likeness is eeeire! Even some of his sleeping positions! I love him!
This is him below.January 23, 2010 at 5:38 pm #92970animalhelperMemberOh my god they are very very alike!!!
Dont suppose Bruno wants a play mate?March 2, 2010 at 4:07 pm #94636animalhelperMemberHi Everyone,
Rex here, I finally got on the comp, my mammy never gets off it!
I just wanted to let you all know I am doing really well, and trying to be a good boy, it seems to be working. I am learning new things and it’s really fun once I get the hang of it, I love coachies, I can now sit, lie down, roll over and play dead. I really enjoy the praise I get and the cuddles…….mmmm the cuddles. In the mornings we go into the back fields and I get let off the lead to play fetch with my kong wubba, i love being free and running around, it makes me tired. I then come home and sleep for a while. Hailey still doesnt love me but every morning I give her a kiss anyway in the hope she will kiss me back, but no luck yet
I now love visitors and I made lots of friends, i love when they come around, I gets lots of attention which i adore.
I better go and bark at some birds in the garden,
lots of licks,Reximus xxxxxx

March 17, 2010 at 1:40 am #95289DID RescueKeymasterThis boy has come on so much and has had some much help mainly from Kim as his foster mum he really needs his own home now.
I dont understand how he seems to be overlooked as he would make a fantastic second dog and a friend for life.
He has be subjected to time wasters which had him on hold and then went and bought a puppy instead.
I wish people would put a bit more thought into adopting before they waste our valuable time and the dogs chance of a great home.March 17, 2010 at 6:22 am #95290IndiannaMemberCouldn’t agree more with Twist. I don’t understand why people go out and buy puppies (encouraging breeders) when there are so many perfect dogs waiting for homes. l know I am not alone in the opinion that ‘pound’ dogs seem to try so much harder to fit in to their new lives and families. Our two ‘ex-poundies’ have not put a paw wrong since they landed with us and I wouldn’t part with either of them for a fortune, they are worth far more to us than money.
March 22, 2010 at 10:24 am #95596blabyrneMemberI totally agree with you for wondering how this fella has been overlooked. I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him on the website and we are delighted to be giving him his forever home – he is coming to us this Thurs and we are so excited about it. Our other dog (Benny) came to us last June and although he is totally demented and full of life, we love him to bits and know that he will be delighted with his new pal (they met last week and seemed to like each other a lot).. Fingers and toes crossed that Rex settles in with us and is happy in his new home and a huge thanks to Kim for working so hard with him and helping his true personality to shine through.
March 22, 2010 at 11:39 pm #95681DID RescueKeymasterThe very best of luck with adopting Rex and I wish you all a long and enjoyable time together. I am sure he will be delighted with a new brother and a friend to call his own.
Please keep us updated with a few photos from time to time it would be really appreciated.
Best wishes for Thursday.March 26, 2010 at 5:56 pm #95841animalhelperMemberWell my Rexy went to his brilliant new home yesterday morning where I know he will be loved and adored. We all miss him so much, even Hailey, which has shocked us all! The house is very quiet….But I know we will get lots of updates on him. It’s been an eventful 5 months but I’m so proud of Rex and how much he has progressed, from being this terrified, shaking dog in the pound to being a confident, happy fella who loves to give cuddles and kisses.
Good luck Rex and a huge thank you to his new family xxxxxApril 6, 2010 at 1:52 pm #96325animalhelperMemberUnfortunately Rex is back up for homing through no fault of his own.
He is currently fast asleep under a pink blankie on the couchApril 6, 2010 at 3:39 pm #96333ladlesMemberI am sorry to see through no fault of his own, that Rex’s new home did not work out. He is such a beautiful dog and I know from meeting him in the pound months and months ago that you did fantastic work with him. He must be feeling a little strange himself, wondering why he is back but I am sure he is loving it at the same time. He gets lots of love and attention in your house. It is difficult especially when it is time to say goodbye, but even harder now as you will have to go through the process again. Hopefully he will move to his forever home very soon. He is a great dog and deserves to settle.
April 11, 2010 at 8:19 pm #96605animalhelperMemberWell Sexy Rexy was delighted with the sunshine all day and made the most of it After a 2 and a half hour walk, or run, in his case, he wanted a game of fetch in the garden…. you would think he would be a bit tired, but he just loved the heat and wanted to play play play! So me thinking it would be a great idea to go and buy a football so we could go down to the field and play a game…… big mistake
Within 2 seconds Rex had the ball burst and he was carrying it around the garden, absolutely thrilled with himself!
So he spent the evening flinging it around the garden and dropping it on my lap so I’d throw it for him, he’s hilarious
But FINALLY all is quiet and he is curled up on the sofa, konked outHe is one of the most photogenic dogs I know, he’s just a pretty boy and he sooooo knows it! Here are some pics of him today
"Throw it….. Throw it……."
April 16, 2010 at 1:44 pm #96889andiMemberrex is a gorgous dog. he sounds like hes full of beans.
April 25, 2010 at 6:52 pm #97370animalhelperMemberWell Mr. Rex is getting on great and still looking for his forever home…. He has a habit of hiding toys, and I cant find them for the life of me! He really loves kids and just rolls over on the ground for them to rub his belly…. it’s amazing to see how he becomes so placid around them. Here are some pics of his playing fetch the wubba!
Rex being cheeky!
