Very disappointing news Velvets operation was bumped due to a trauma case that arrived in the hospital yesterday evening so her surgeons were busy all day on the other poor unfortunate soul.
They are not allowing me take her home or even visit her which is so hard knowing how scared I left her yesterday morning.
After another heart scan and ECG we now know that her heart has also enlarged…
Thanks to everyone who has been either watching from the sides lines…putting up posts….phoning or texting me…..I can’t tell you in words how much it means and if only I could make Velvet understand that we have a huge team of kind hearted humans and hounds behind us.
Please keep the positive thoughts going as this little one needs all the extra help she can get. As soon as I have any more to update on I will post here so you can stay informed.
Aww Audrey, really hope it gets done tomorrow now for you! But worse you cannot even visit when u know a big cuddle will help her feel better.. Keep the updates coming as we are all thinking of u in the house here! Suzanne, Cynthia, Buddy and Jess
Heartbroken at the thought of her being kept there and know it must be so hard for you too. Sending positive thoughts and love x
Without meaning to sound harsh
(as I know how much you care for this poor soul) maybe it`s good visiting is restricted as this will reduce Velvet`s exposure to outside germs etc – just like visiting in hospitals for humans. I know it`s hard – I was going out of my mind when Trinity was getting her spay. Have Velvet and you Audrey in my thoughts xxx
We are thing of the two of you and send you our very best wishes love Esma,Sindy,
Very disappointing for sure, but someone else had a worse day, namely the animal that had to go to theatre first. Roll on tomorrow and get Velvet’s surgery done. It must be nice to know just how many people are following the story of one small puppy dog, pity Velvet doesn’t know it. I have everything crossed for major progress tomorrow.
Oh, Audrey! So sorry to hear about poor Velvet being put off. However, she’s in the best possible hands, and she’ll be out of there in no time. I believe in karma, and if anyone is due a good turn by the Universe, it’s you!
She’ll be fine. I really, truly believe that. We’re sending you and your pack good vibes from Stoneybatter. Onwards and upwards!

Audrey, so sorry to hear of the set back. Paws crossed it goes ahead asap.
Hopefully, today is the day. Velvet is constantly in our thoughts so the storm will turn into a veritable tempest/hurricane today.
Much love & bestest of wishes from moggies, doggies & us humans in Wicklow xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
More disappointing new Velvets operation didn’t go ahead today either
