Great to hear her playful spirit is returning! Trust me though, collies and tennis balls are a 24 hour commitment…particularly if you provide a basket full of them!! All thoughts are with her for Wednesday.
November 29, 2011 at 8:51 am #107320IndiannaMemberIt is indeed great that Velvet wants to play, but in her little mind she is probably working I am hoping for the best for the vet appointment tomorrow, just need to get it over with so Velvet can get back home again to continue her recovery. Good to know that you are practising your retrieval skills Audrey – keep up the human training Velvet, it seems to be going well
November 29, 2011 at 10:34 pm #107348diannehMemberFingers and 16 paws crossed for tomorrow,I really hope all is well.

December 1, 2011 at 10:45 pm #107188LuvMyFurKidsMemberWell Velvet has had a couple of busy days…..
Yesterday she was back in hospital and had all of her staples taken out and had an x-ray of her lungs taken the vets were happy with how she is progressing. However they want her to have another heart scan this will be her third and there is an overseas specialist going to examine her. Thats all scheduled for the 16th December so hopefully she will be discharged for Christmas.
Today she was busy collecting tickets for the draw and found it very trying work being chauffered around Dublin all day. But still had plenty of energy to play ball when she got home.
Velvet wishes everyone a very merry and special December its like christmas eve here as Mrs Claus (Helen of HomeFromHome) is bringing back Rossi and Tess in the morning and we are SO EXCITED!

Fancy getting an ‘over seas’ specialist visiting you – bet they are excited Twinkle now officially at home is the other half of the great news . I can fall into bed with very happy thoughts dancing around in my tiny mind
December 2, 2011 at 12:32 am #107213MutleyMemberSo pleased to hear your vet visit went well, Velvet. You do look very festive in your Christmas outfit, all ready to welcome back your big brother and sister in the morning! In 10 woofs or less, you can tell them what a brave girl you are and how your foster Mum is almost trained at ball fetch 24/7!
December 5, 2011 at 6:35 pm #107460brooksy1501MemberGreat to hear how well she is doing (and you too Audrey). A flyball dog for sure! Looking at het latest photos is like looking at photos of Furby…amazing likeness.
Give her a hug and licks from us xDecember 5, 2011 at 7:56 pm #107462LuvMyFurKidsMemberThanks Hilary she is coming on every day….yesterday poor Rossi was very unwell and bless her she kept dropping the ball at his nose hoping he would get up on his paws she didn’t understand but was clever enough to know that something was up and kept trying to get him to play – she was so cute with him…she truly is a miracle on paws.
December 8, 2011 at 1:03 pm #107464MutleyMemberSorry to bother the very busy foster Mum but how is the miracle on paws doing now? Hope Rossi is feeling better (surely not the from the homecoming pawty?!) and feels like joining in ball games with his foster sis.
December 9, 2011 at 9:15 pm #107541LuvMyFurKidsMemberWell Velvet is lets just say making up for all the puppy play that she wasn’t used to most of her first year. She is a half hairy half bald bundle of laughs ….. bring on next weeks scan so hopefully she can be released from apartment arrest coz she could definately do with some energy releasing gentle walks…another regular little friend came to visit that we are minding for the weekend and Velvets nose was a bit out of joint as Mollyo loves Rossi and vice versa….well for the first half hour Velvet was so funny kept blocking Mollyos direction no matter what way she turned as if to say everything here is mine and you are welcome as long as you stay in the one spot… now there isn’t a bother on her as long as there is still room with the rest of the couch crashers.
