As soon as we got the word this morning, I woke everyone up out of bed and we were off to pick up Claus.. We renamed him Teddy because He’s SO adorable. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!!!! :P

He was a great boy on the car ride home and was cute as could be.

Once he got home he gobbled up some (a lot of) food, marked his territory EVERYWHERE (outside) and he met and played with my furry babies Gracie and Oisin at home and it’s been play, play, play ever since. He played with Gracie.. ALOT!! They are already joined to the hip. He doesn’t seem to want to go anywhere without her. ( at this moment they both finally passed out)

Teddy is very curious as he spent quite a lot of time staring quietly at the Christmas tree lights twinkling. We have three trees in the living room so he was there awhile!!! I think at one point, he was staring at himself in one of our ornaments.

He has a wonderful personality. He’s not bothered with anything. He acts like he’s lived here his whole life. He has great manners. (I’m surprised he didn’t wipe his own paws on the mat before he came in.) You would never think he was at the pound or without a family.

Teddy is very lovable and he’s always waiting for cuddles and kisses. He looks to be in great condition.. He’s a wee thin but with our clan, he’ll gain weight in no time. Looks like he’ll have the "cone of shame" in his near future as well.

He seems to be house trained as there have been no accidents but we are in day one so we will see how well he does tonight and the next few days.

Liam is out walking Teddy on a lead now so I’ll report back how well he did.

Did I mention Teddy is AMAZING!!! Loving him already!!

He’ll make a fabulous furever family member.

Lovely update and it looks like you are having great fun with Gracie.
Mind you she is a good choice, blonde and female a lad has landed on all four paws. :)

Well Teddy all your Christmases have come together. You’ve certainly landed on your paws in your foster home. I’m sure Gracie has you wrestling already ;) Ollie and Mia are looking forward to meeting you in the park with Gracie and Oisin. Happy New Year to you and your foster family.

What a difference a day makes…. Even a week. We’ve had this sweet, sweet boy now for a week and he is settling in wonderfully. He’s AMAZING!!! :D

The first day was a little rough on the poor guy. He didn’t keep any food down.. At all. :( We thought it just might be nerves and possibly eating his food way too fast. He ate like he had never had a meal in his life. Poor guy.

So Liam decided to sleep on the couch downstairs to watch over the little guy. It was a restless night for both. Neither slept but Teddy never got sick thru the night. I’m happy to report that Teddy never lost his meals again. He eats his food properly (much slower) now and enjoys having meal times with his new furry friends.

The second night when it was time for bed, Teddy wanted nothing to do with going up stairs. No way, no how. After 30 mins of trying to coach him up, even with wee doggie treats on each step, he wasn’t having any of it. :? Liam finally had to carry him up the stairs. This is something we’re used to as our golden Gracie had to be carried up for 2 weeks straight when we first got her. But look at Teddy NOW!! Teddy is racing up and down the stairs 100 times a day!!! Go Teddy!!! :P

No sleep was had that night either. Teddy tapped danced all night long and just when I would hear him sigh and fall asleep in his bed, I would hear him up again tap dancing. He’s rather good at it!! And now after a week… He sleeps like a good boy. When it’s night night, he gives kisses to everyone in the room and falls fast asleep; all night!!!:)

The next morning Teddy wouldn’t go out to potty. Teddy only wanted to go out when Gracie did, so we woke up Gracie and Teddy followed her to the back garden. He follows her everywhere. They are Pete and Repeat. Mutt and Jeff. Best of friends. Teddy is now secure enough to go out any time he wants, even on his own. He’s never had an accident so he is well house trained!! Yeah Teddy!! :D

Teddy is alittle shy when it’s time for a walk. He won’t leave the house. After another failed attempt of bribery of doggie treats, Liam had to pick him up and at least get him out the front door. Teddy is GREAT on a lead. No pulling. But he did stay very close to Liam. Teddy won’t go to far on his lead and he seems unsure where he’s going. With time he will get better.

Teddy is very much a FAMILY dog. Loves everyone and gives everyone special attention. You can see even when he looks at you that he’s saying " thank you for loving me!!" ;) Teddy acts very appreciative and thankful.

He would very much need another dog as a companion, :) :) so he would make a great second dog. He loves attention, cuddles and kisses but doesn’t demand it. He plays and wrestles with our Gracie a lot but when Gracie is worn out, Teddy is also seen taking naps on the couch. He is not high Maintenance at all and he can balance the play time and quiet time. In fact he’s curled up next to me now. Not a peep out of him.

Teddy is the perfect young chap. SO sweet, SO gentle, SO loving. He will make The BEST family pet…ever. If I haven’t said it before… He’s AMAZING. He’s a JOY!!!

This morning I woke up to this little guy licking my face!!!
As I opened my eyes, I saw this sweet face looking at me saying, "Hi mom, it’s me!!"

Teddy is settling in wonderfully. He’s AWESOME!! He gets his full on playing in with our Gracie several times a day. (Even our older dog Oisin has been seen playing with the lot. And he rarely plays.)

Teddy LOVES LOVES LOVES chasing his tail. I have some great videos of him and he’s a big hit already on Facebook!!

The pair of them (Gracie and Teddy) are covered in mud when they decide to "wrestle" outside. He’s very good at letting me wipe his paws but quite often they are in the living room before I know it. Good thing my new American mop came in the mail last week. Super easy to clean up those muddy puppy paws.

Teddy is eating well and putting on some weight. He’s started to grab a little food, run to the couch and eat it there. It’s been super cute to watch, thou I’m not exactly sure what it means. It’s usually when he’s eating on his own.

I don’t see any bad habits at all from young Teddy and he is as sweet as they come. He loves his belly rubs, curls next to anyone of us on the couch and often puts his wee face on your lap. He loves belonging to a family and he will make a great addition to a loving home.

Our sweet boy got his "cone of shame" ( neutered) on Thursday :o and he was a real trooper. He had his check up yesterday (Saturday) and he’s healing wonderfully. He’ll have his stitches out next Saturday.

He’s done so well as to not bother with his new Elizabethan collar, that we took it off yesterday :D and he hasn’t bothered his wound at all. If we see he’s going to lick, we say no and he stops right away. He’s very good knowing what NO means, thou we don’t have to say it often. He’s a really good boy. He is SO loving. His brown eyes just melt your heart. ;)

So far from what we have seen, he doesn’t like traveling in the car. He has gotten sick a few times. Once he heals, we will start taking him in the car more to see if it’s just nerves. :(

He also seems to be very nervous in new situations. He cried when the vet tried to crate him after his surgery. They eventually let him walk around but he acted nervous. As soon as we showed up and saw us, he ran straight to me and he was much better.

He does not want to leave the house… Whether a trip to the vet or for walkies. We had to carry him out of the house, into the car on Thursday. And we seem to have to do this when we take him out for his walks. However, we took Gracie to his vet appointment with him (she was getting a pedicure and giving Teddy moral support) and as soon as he saw Gracie run out the door and into the car, he ran out the door and straight into the car as well. So me thinks maybe he’s afraid he’s going to be abandoned when he goes out alone.

Teddy definitely needs another active and playful dog as his brother or sister. He loves to play. He continues to sleep really well at night and often takes naps during the day. He can sit and relax and he doesn’t seem to get bored and he’s never destructive.

We just love him to bits. He’s got the sweetest face ever and he’s a really happy boy.

He will make the best furever pet!!!

Teddy went to the vet on Saturday and got his stitches out!! Yeah!!! :D He was so good and he got lots of treats. His weight is up and he is now perfectly filled out. ;)

He was back to his normal self soon after his little surgery that we were even able to take his cone off after a day and a half. Whew!!! We limited the rough playtime with Gracie alittle but they are back at it in full speed. Thou they slept nearly all day yesterday. It must have been the weather.

Gracie had to go to the vet with him because he ran upstairs and hid. He would NOT leave the house. Poor guy gets scared anytime he hears the jingle of collars and leads being pulled out. But as soon as he sees Gracie running out to the car, he’s running out right after her. The two of them are best buddies. So Teddy definitely needs another active dog to play with as his brother or sister.

He got sick in the car AGAIN!!! :( He doesn’t travel well, me thinks. We are going to start driving him around more to see if it’s just nerves. I usually don’t feel very well when my husband drives too.

The lovely nurse said to bring the pups back several times so he does not equate the vets as being a bad place since he’s only gone to get things done. I guess we will have to have a routine of Saturday morning vet visits for play every week. :D I think the nurse just wants to get her cuddles. Who could really blame her, Teddy is absolutely adorable. And the people at the Vet office are amazing as well.

We think Teddy has part rabbit in him. He runs super fast and hops like no ones business. We think he would be fantastic for Agility training.

He’s such a happy boy and is very giving. He likes to place his little two front paws on your lap and just stare at you. 8-) It’s quite endearing. Such a sweet face with big brown eyes.

He’s certainly a lap dog too. He loves to be petted and cuddled. When he crawls onto your lap, he falls sleep fast and he is light as a feather.

Great seeing those photos all boys and girls happy and comfortable with each other. Delighted that Teddy has got his forever home. One I am sure where he will be loved and appreciated and be part of a family. :)
I met his new Mom while I was in Maxi Zoo just before they chose Teddy and I think he is a perfect choice. ;)
Also Gracie was my foster dog so I know how good she is with other dogs no wonder he loved her. She is a great role model.
Looking forward to the updates 8-)
