Meet the ever so handsome Prince! He is a 1 year old Shih Tzu. He is grand with other doggies and kids. Very happy, friendly chap! He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped!

NOT impressed!
November 1, 2009 at 12:34 am #89300DID RescueKeymasterThis is a great little man with a big personality.
I am calling him Prince Michael the 4th.
He is still only a pup but does not know how to play with toys and treats he was not interested in until today when he went shoplifting in the Wagging Tail and chose plain rawhide twists for himself. We got new dog coats in so I was using him as a model for sizes but he was not impressed as you can see.
He is a great traveller after 5 mins just lies down and falls asleep with his eyes open just in case.
He was a bit overactive in the hormone department when he came and poor Chase had to suffer the amorous advances so he was whizzed to the vet next morning and now that has all settled down.
He gets his stitches out on Monday.
He loves being with you and would make a great companion, he loves sitting on your lap but does not appreciate cuddles which is fine a lot of small dogs do.
He is fine on a lead and does know sit he is also housetrained.
He is getting on fine here rattling around with 8 other dogs but he can fit through my fencing hence the reason for him becoming an employee of the Wagging Tail but he loves going to work he is the type of little person that loves to think he has a mission and is involved and then he feels very important. The Shih Tzu breed may be small but like the Westies they are not a pushover and actually think they are much bigger in their own mind.
So the home for this little man needs to research the breed, there is no point in applying for him just because he is small and cute, there is a lot more going on under that small fluffy bundle with a cheeky personality.November 5, 2009 at 6:24 pm #89472animalhelperMemberPrince busy at work

November 14, 2009 at 10:57 pm #89916dogluversMemberI met the lovely Prince this morning in the shop. I have met him a few time now in Marie’s, he is a dote. I had Cleo with me and he was trying to get her to play with him but poor cleo was more interested in the lovely treats Marie and Liz have sitting around the shop so he was well blown out for the food……… Food crazy..
November 17, 2009 at 12:02 am #89989lindaodonnellMemberHi,
We have been following Prince’s progress even though we seen he was reserved, we were still interested in how he was doing. We were very excited to see he is available again.
We’ve had our home visit and passed and have just sent in an adoption application form for Prince so fingers crossed.
Hopefully he’s not too sore after his surgery.

November 17, 2009 at 3:53 pm #89986RoverdilMemberI met this little man yesterday too…what a character…he is one cheeky chappy and I think he thinks he owns the shop rather than just being security
He is a gorgeous little man, full of energy and fun and his name suits him down to the ground…he is a little Prince
November 19, 2009 at 3:16 pm #90105lindaodonnellMemberPrince settled in really quickly and made himself at home within minutes. He has explored the whole house from top to bottom.
He’s been a real dote since he got here. Full of playful mischief and not even one little growl out of him. He’s flat out snoring on his back as I type this after a morning of playing.
Thanks to dogs in distress for bringing him into our home. You do great work. He’ll be into visit everyone in the Wagging Tail for a hair cut in a couple weeks.
