We will – I promise

Allie will get a lot of TLC and play time with us.June 23, 2010 at 11:30 am #98429tracyMemberpippas stitches come out tomorrow, then friday she goes to her new home, hopefully i can keep in the tears when i hand her over
June 23, 2010 at 11:14 pm #98372DID RescueKeymasterThis is the most loving girl ever.
I collected her from Meath Pound( she was a surrender) and she just wet herself she was so timid and not knowing what was happening to her.
She was so grateful for any attention and great with all my crew.
I hope she has a great life with Dakota and family.
Best of luck and hope you get everything you deserve……… all good I am sure:DJune 25, 2010 at 3:58 pm #98492tracyMemberpippa aka {ally} is going to her new forever family at 7 this evening.u would think she knows as she hasnt left my side all day i hope she an her new family have a great time together,an her new sister dakota.
June 25, 2010 at 5:54 pm #98497LuvMyFurKidsMemberah bless my heart goes out to you and the family Tracy but you have allowed her become a delightful dog again and now a new family get to treasure her. Not only have you saved Pippa (real name Ally) but all the dogs that have and will still come through your door and back out again this time on their way to hopeful happiness….chin up and try not cry for more than 24hrs …..it makes your eyes puffy…..Good luck to the new family you are getting a true sweetheart here!
June 25, 2010 at 7:54 pm #98504tracyMemberThanks Audrey,I thought it would get easier giving my foster dogs to their new home but it doesnt,I just hope Ally settles well and her new family enjoy her as much as me and my family did.
June 25, 2010 at 8:08 pm #98505Els81MemberWell, those two ladies didn’t stop to play since we got home. Messing in the garden they are When I look at them I’d never have guessed that Decota is older than Allie. She behaves like such a puppy
Allie was crying a bit in the car but that was understandable. We’ll see how the night goes.
I promise loads of updates
Thanks Tracy for such a good care of Allie.June 25, 2010 at 9:10 pm #98516tracyMemberthats great that u posted up so quick,i have to say i miss her terrible but i know she will be well looked after by you an dakota.give her a hug from me.
June 25, 2010 at 11:20 pm #98519DID RescueKeymasterI have to say it gives me great satisfaction when an existing adopter gets a second dog from DID.
Apart from the fact that I love to see a dog or pup going to a home where there is a dog already, who is clearly loved and getting everything they need.
Great news to hear the ladies are getting on I dont think Allie will be a dominant female, so here’s hoping for a long and happy partnership.June 26, 2010 at 9:20 am #98527Els81MemberIt was a quiet night. I slept with our girls in the living room just to make sure that everything will be ok, and it was. Allie slept the whole night in her new bed. I’ll post some photos soon but they are playing all the time and it’s hard to get any sharp photos.
Decota will have to learn to eat as soon as food is put beside her as Allie grabs every bit of food that she can Breakfast was gone in a minute. There are few barks and growls and showing the teeth but it doesn’t seem aggressive as I am watching them carefully.
Probably I’ll need as many advices as I can get about having 2 dogs. Any idea when we can give them back their toys for example?June 26, 2010 at 11:29 am #98509tracyMemberits great allie slept all night, the barking an growling is her an dakota arguing over whos boss as allie done that with monty my dog for the first week.she just needs time to settle.

July 14, 2010 at 6:09 pm #99088Els81MemberHi All,
Just to update you on the progress… I think that Allie settled in ok. We can see that she’s getting more and more attached to us. She’s getting better during meal times although we still need to watch her so she won’t have a go with Decota’s food.
She’s also getting better with recall. There are times though when we have to run after her when she will get over exited while playing with other dog on the beach. Both of them love their walks on the beach. And thanks to Allie Decota started to swim !
Allie definetly gained some weight which is great as she needed it. And she’s getting bigger -
