pia.JPGMarch 11, 2013 at 9:14 pm #114428kate15MemberPia got dropped off with me on Saturday morning. She and my little girl ran around the garden and got on like a house on fire from the outset. I took her for a walk that afternoon. She is brilliant on the lead and if you have her off the lead she is very obedient and stays with you. She is very cute with her big brown eyes and big ears. She is such an affectionate little girl, loves to cuddle and give you kisses. She loves to have her tummy rubbed.i put her into bed that night with my little girl and the two of them cuddled together, didnt hear a peep out of her all night.she is a great eater and loves her dentastix. She is completely house trained
she is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is great with children and would make a great family pet or a very loving companion to someoneMarch 21, 2013 at 5:55 pm #114589AnonymousInactivePia looks an adorable little dog. do you know if she had any interaction with cats? thank you c.
March 22, 2013 at 9:04 am #114595kate15MemberI’m not too sure about cats,a neighbour cat comes to visit sometimes Pia does bark at her from a distance I’m not sure what she’d do up close, she such a gentle little thing can’t imagine she would mind a cat.next time cat visits ill see if can get them to interact.

pia2.jpgApril 13, 2013 at 10:37 am #114963kate15MemberPia been with me a month now.she a happy little dog who loves spending her time sitting on the windowsill gazing out the window looking out at the neighbourhood.as we speak she is sitting basking in the sunshine dozing off.she loves to chill out with you as long as she had a walk at some stage during the day.there is great excitement when she sees the lead.I find because she quite excited on her walk its best to have her on a harness and extendable lead, but she is at her happiest when off the lead.she loves to run free and is extremly obedient on her walk.her favourite thing in the world is her tennisball she could chase it for hours.its quite something to watch her leap into the air to catch the ball, she is so agile.she absolutely loves having her tummy rubbed would be quite happy for you to do it all day.she is loving gentle soul so its easy to take to her instantly.
April 21, 2013 at 3:06 pm #115124tinkerbellMemberWe have Pia almost a week now and she really has settled in. She actually made herself quite at home on the first day. She is an absolute pet and just loves to give kisses and to be loved back. Loves her walks, her snuggles and to play.
Photos to follow shortly.

It’s hard to imagine just what our lives were like before the arrival of our little cutie She has utterly bewitched us all. She has the wisest little head on her and will literally sit up on your knee, with one paw on your shoulder and just stare into your eyes. She’d nearly speak to you. She has the sweetest disposition imaginable. She’s just so affectionate and has an abundance of love and kisses to give. She makes everyone’s heart smile.
Her day starts off with an early morning walk with mam and dad. She frequently goes into a mini frenzy when she spots rabbits on this morning constitutional! Because my husband and I live round the corner we are lucky enough to be able to bring her on her longer evening walk. She gets so excited about her ‘walkies.’
Mum and I took her to obedience classes in a lovely ‘school’ called ‘Muttasori". June, the trainer, a total dog lover, was wonderful with her. She’s learned to sit and stay and behave more maturely (i.e. restrains herself from jumping up fifty times to greet people) but though more calm, thankfully remains deeply affectionate.
She is great in the car and loves her ‘drivies’ almost as much as her ‘walkies’. She is also great buddies with my little nephew who’s there once a week.
She is the most lovable little creature, an absolute joy and blessing. We are all so impressed with the great work you are doing – individually and collectively – at Dogs in Distress – Claire and Cathy, the inspector who visited prior to adoption and the wonderful foster families who do such immense work. It is so wonderful to see so many joyful endings in the happy ever after section of the web page.
Many many thanks for your help in delivering Pia into our lives and the very, very best of luck in continuing you brilliant work,
All the very best,Pia’s family
