I am going to foster this chap. For anybody considering fostering a dog I cant recommend it enough. These dogs end up in this awful situation through no fault of their own and as they see it they have lost everything they have ever known. Without a foster family the outlook for these guys is sadly not good. I would urge anybody who has some space and can commit to just one month to get in touch with Kathy or complete the online foster application form. It is such a rewarding experience on many levels for the fosterer and such a vital lifeline for these poor dogs.

I picked this little man up yesterday and he literally skipped into my car, lay down and fell asleep!! He has settled in so well and has not had one accident in the house since arriving so he is obviously house trained!

He looks like a little cartoon doggie and is a ringer for the dog in the little rascals movie. . .just alot smaller!! Despite his cartoon like head he doesn’t even reach up to my knee in height! He is getting on well with my own two dogs although not too interested in joining in with play just yet!! He is such a sweet boy and will sit beautifully for his rubs then just potter off to his bed for a sleep!! Here he is having a little snooze!! Very very hard not to fall in love at first sight with this little fella he is just so quirky looking and such a friendly little chappie!!

I have only had him since Friday so we are all still getting to know each other!! So far I can tell you he is an easy going chap and has spent most of his time sleeping falt out on his back, paws in the air in the beam of sun that shines through the window! We went for a walk yesterday and he is good on the lead. We did not meet any other dogs on the walk but he did meet some people and was happy to say hello. . be prepared to be stopped everywhere you go this fella is such a looker and quite happy to be admired!! He is getting on very well with my own two dogs and is quite content to just potter around and do his own thing! I do not have any children and as yet he has not been around kids for me to be able to comment on that yet but will update when I can. I dont think he will be a highly active dog but will need his daily walk to keep him fit and healthy! He also likes the bath. . .which is a first in my house!! :D

Well this little man is getting on great and I must say he is just a little dote. He has discovered play time and is having a blast with my own two guys tumbling round the garden!! He doesnt have the energy level that they have so after a 10 minute play fest he is flat out snoring his head off again! He is just a very good dog and one whistle has him running over to you no matter what he was investigating!

Nothing fazes this chap he is gas! I reckon the sky could fall down around him and he would either sleep through it or just carry on about his business!

He has mastered the baby gate in my house and has no problems hopping over it. . .I think he does it for fun! This guy defo has brains my own two have never considered that they could go over it even though Deelo is nearly taller than the gate!! We are loving having him with us and know that this fella is going to make a super pet for his forever family he is just so loving not demanding at all!! :D

Here is a little action shot of the three amigos!!

Went on a little date with nemo for coffee in Greystones … I had coffee he was on the water!! Was very busy there and we sat out on the main street and he had a great time watching the world go by!! He made some new friends young and old and was just a sweetheat to all!! Such a social little chap!! Just a joy to spend time with so chilled and defo a people magnet!!

Poor boy he was very lucky you took him in and fostered him as he had well overstayed his welcome in the ;) Pound
There was no interest in him at all and the Pound were really worried for him as he seemed like such a nice lad and he has proved them right.

Deelo are you now getting lessons in jumping this gate ;) at least you can always blame it on the inmate ;)

Thanks Twist!! He most certainly has!! This guy is just such a super little dog! A real character! Luckily Deelo has not attempted the baby gate yet! Graceful is not a word I would use to describe my Deelo so he would most likely flatten the gate if he tried!!

Nemo is doing super and we have settled into a nice routine in the house. He likes to be left in a small area when I go out so he has his own little Nemo nest in my hallway! We had a crate for him but he got quite upset in it. . . most likely never wants to see a set of bars again as long as he lives :( who could blame him!!

It is play central here and he has fit in so well with my own two dogs! Him and little Oki Sky are like two bold siblings and Deelo is never too far away to step in if they get up to too much mischief. . .its so funny to watch them!

He is a joy to have here and this guy will really bring alot of fun and smiles to his very lucky forever family! Today was wet so muddy paws all round in my house but you can see Nemo wiped his on the mat. . .such a good boy ;) Here is a little pic of the little man all delighted with himself!!

Well this little man is getting on great here and is just such a super dog. He loves kids and is a firm favourite on our road . . .he has his own fan club who call in to see if he is allowed out to play ;) We have been out and about and this chap is just happy to meet everyone! Not excitable he takes everything in his stride!! He really will make a super family pet! Here are some pics of this cartoon doggie. . .he is not too impressed with me flashing away in his face but in typical Nemo style he just rolled onto his other side when he felt I had got my pic!!

We were delighted to have a short visit from the happiest dog EVER little Nemo…..he just seems to be smiling all the time.

    What’s out there!

    The Three Amigo’s

Tess and Nemo became firm wrestling partners they were both delighted to find themselves with another dog the same size

Nemo tends to let off little fluffs – his foster mum Claire says he has a toxic touche……by their expressions here he just let one off and Tess isn’t amused!

    Happy Hound!

Well my little happy staffy headed off to his new home today. Not even a backward glance he hopped straight up into the jeep as if he had been in it a million times!!

Be happy little man! You will be very much missed and you have left a very big space behind you here! Looking forward to loads of updates on this one in a billion boy!

For anyone reading this who is thinking of fostering please take the next step and get in touch. I cant explain the feeling of seeing your little charge fly the nest and start the next chapter of their lives. Of course it is hard letting them go but just knowing the joy and love and happiness this superstar chap is going to bring to his new family compared to where he was with no hope of living the life he deserves gives you the strength to let them go.

Nemo is settling in great in his new home and I have received reports that he has settled himself in usual upside down Nemo style on the couch and is now an avid Eastenders fan!! Hope to get some pics soon!
