You paint great word pictures Indianna. Look forward to the photographs of Nellie and Dudley.
February 24, 2013 at 1:42 pm #114182IndiannaMemberHopefully three images. Nellie and Dudley out in the hills yesterday. They have to be on long lines because of the sheep. Other images, the rosette Nellie won last Sunday competing in HTM and also the little bag of food she also won.

February 24, 2013 at 8:57 pm #114217dogsruleMemberLovely pics Indianna. The pair of doggies look very moody rockstar in their photo on the hill. The bag of food was worth the additional photo . The doggies look very healthy and content.

April 27, 2013 at 8:34 pm #115223IndiannaMemberWell another busy day for Miss Nellabi. We are now the proud owners of a lovely green rosette and one third of a red rosette . Three of us from the training club trotted off to a little show today. Two of us got rosettes in our class, we (us plus Norma the trainer) then won the group class and Norma came second in her class and won the ‘busking’ competition. Needless to say she was very pleased with our efforts . My little mutt always gets very nice comments and a trainer from one of the other clubs said to me, "she is such a happy little thing with her tick tock tail". She is right, Nellie’s tail is always moving either in tick tock motion or just a mad blur going round and round and back and forth . She always does her best and we are very proud of her. Dudley was very happy to see his little buddy when we got home. She is currently crashed out on my bed having been fed. I will take her and Dudley for a nice romp in the hills tomorrow. Well done Nells Bells

August 24, 2013 at 5:05 pm #116927IndiannaMemberOur little HTM team performed at a village gala today. We did our individual routines and then a team effort. Went pretty well, all happy All the dogs got a gift each from the organisers so that was nice. Nellie LOVES her squeaky bone A little girl asked if she could speak to Nellie and then spent ages asking all about and petting her, Nellie loved all the attention. On our way back to the car I heard some shout and then whistle, when I turned round there was a (maybe) 14 year old boy coming towards us, he also asked if he could speak to Nellie, told her he liked her routine. Told me that he has a 10 year old Boxer but it has had a lump removed from one of its hind limbs so couldn’t come to the event. He was very pleased to say that his dog could do three twirls on command Nellie has now been fed (well, they have all been fed) and is now resting after her busy day.
August 24, 2013 at 5:11 pm #116928geordieMemberSounds like a fantastic day, love your updates, love and hugs from hailey and her humans.
August 24, 2013 at 6:19 pm #116929IndiannaMemberHailey, you and your family are too kind. You know that Nellie is your God-sister don’t you? When her biggest fan at work heard that another dog had come to live with us he said to me, "what about Nellie"? I said, "Oh, I got rid of her" (I never would ) He looked at me in complete disgust and said, "don’t be so stupid, you would get rid of your father and brother before you would get rid of Nellie". How I laughed and had to tell him that he was absolutely right – get rid of the Nells bells – NEVER!
September 7, 2013 at 9:18 am #117050IndiannaMemberThe Nells bells went missing on Thursday night . I let the dogs out around 11.30 as I was making my father’ supper. After 5 minutes or so Jet and Dudley came back in but no Nellie. I called her name, no response, checked she wasn’t in the house, I checked the garden again – she wasn’t there. PANIC Grabbed a lead and took off, ran round to the houses at the back of us – nothing. Had to run around a fair distance to houses to the side of us, this is now around 11.45. Thought I heard the chinking of her discs on her collar, I was almost at the back of someone’s house at this point but couldn’t see how to get in, so ran back home and again moved very slowly along the boundary fence and did hear chinking again. Was calling her name quietly and getting no response so grabbed her favourite squeaky toy from the house (a furry rabbit) and squeaked that at various bits of the fence. I could hear her panting because of her digging efforts, so I was waving the rabbit under the bit of the fence she had obviously gone under. She came forward to grab it and I managed to grab her and drag her back under the fence. This is the SECOND time I have been on my knees in amongst undergrowth trying to find Nellie – little monster! It was now 12.15 a.m. so she had been away for a good half hour but probably longer. So fence mending must be done before she is loose in the garden again. Well, not fence mending, there is nothing wrong with the fence, it’s the digging I have to get stopped I went to the neighbour after work on Friday to explain what had happened. She said they were all in bed by the time Nellie was ‘visiting’ but she did think she had heard something squeaking I offered to replace any plants damaged beyond any hope of re-growth so will wait to hear if I need to do that Apart from that particular tiff, Nellie and I are friends again. She is like ‘super terrier’ and I am just grateful she didn’t find a cat That would be my biggest fear, Nellie destroying a cat in its own home in front of its family – I kid you not – she would do it
