This little man is gone into foster with Carolyn, who will update soon
mike.jpgJune 18, 2012 at 9:24 am #110080carlylongMemberWell this little man arrived on Saturday, Little man with lots of personality! So far so good, didn’t bat an eyelid at our other animals – hens, horses, pigs etc. Very friendly little fella, constantly wagging his bushy tail, very good on lead, Recall good- not great but good- once he learns his name Im sure it will be 100% as he loves to be around people. No food issues at all, quite happy for me to give him his dinner, take it away and give it back. Needs a little bit of tlc as I noticed some matting around his neck, once groomed this fella will be even MORE handsome, I don’t think we are going to have him too long!!!

I don’t think your foster Mum quite meant that when she said "I don’t think we are going to have him too long". From collecting you from the pound, I have to say you are a cheeky, confident chap and have a definite sparkle in your eye. Very friendly (think you’d befriend anyone!) and would make the perfect companion! Good to see you don’t mind sharing your mattress either!
June 22, 2012 at 9:35 pm #110181blueindigoMemberThis fella has to be one of the most intelligent dogs yet! My fella is living here over 13 years and I don’t think he would know his way home And a real looker to boot. What a gorgeous foxy colour
June 25, 2012 at 11:20 am #106759carlylongMemberWell Mike or "Lildog" (as we call him!) is getting on very well since "The Great Escape" he seems to be a lot more settled, I think he might have realised on his little escapade that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side & maybe his foster home isn’t that bad after all!!!!
You are right Mutley, he certainly is one cheeky chappie absolutely brimming with personality. Blueindigo I am in awe of how this little fella made it back home…. seriously!!! He was spotted 2 miles from our house and we had only had him 5 days when he went on his little trip!!!!!! Luck? Intelligence? a bit of both me thinks!!!!
He has settled in very well anyway and is getting on great with our 2, he doesn’t pay them very much attention. He is pretty much an all rounder, I think he would suit a family with another dog or without, with kids or without…. Gave him a good grooming yesterday and to say he was LOVING it was an understatement… He was rolling onto his back and everything to ensure I did a good job! In fact, when I went to groom one of the others he came over and butted in to get some more attention!!!
Will take some more photos this evening & update

July 11, 2012 at 4:11 pm #110039declanshortallMemberAnother quick update…Mike is really settling in now. He’s even grasping sitting before crossing roads on his walks Brought him for a stroll around our local Petstop….i gotta say he absolutely LOVED it he was sniffing and wagging his tail constantly. He even tried to open the door with his nose on the way out of the store
He’s getting on well…ish with other dogs that he meets on his walks. He tends to get a little over excited initially.. And he appeared to have issues with cyclists at first (maybe he used to drive )
He’s great around the house and is full of character. I think he’s gonna start talking back any day now
