Marley is a great fellow, about 6 years old so settled. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed. He is just the most placid guy, happy to sit by your feet and watch everything around him. He just blended right in with our three dogs, who could certainly learn a thing or two about relaxation from this older statesman. Our three are prone to getting excited about most things, food, belly rubs and as soon as you metion “walkies” they almost jump out of their skin, but Marley just casually waits for his lead and happily trots along beside you.
He seems to love kids and I reckon wherever he was before, there were definitely kids and most probably babies because he had no fear of our 8 month old and was happy for her to pet him and even when she got a handfull of fur and yanked it he didn’t flinch. He is quite happy to stroll alongside the buggy so I’d say he’s used to that too.
He is a very loving dog, and absolutely loves to get a rub, although he doesn’t push himself on you like two of ours tend to do. I have to agree that he really is a true gent. I think he is house trained. He was very discreet in the garden, although he did pee in the kitchen last night when we went to bed. But I’d say that had more to do with being a bit shell shocked after all his travelling and change of scene last night. He didn’t have any accidents when I was around.
