Lucy what a little stunner – the last photo is beautiful. Lavender is obviously your color!! I can’t believe no-one has snapped you up – I follow your posts because I adore you and would love you (but my 2 doggies wouldn’t ). And the fact you wash the dishes would be an added bonus!! :D Fingers crossed for you Lucy. (But in the meantime you seem to have a wonderful foster family to spoil you- which is no more than you deserve.)

Well our little Lucy Lockett has has finally found her forever family and is heading off to her new life on Saturday morning. We are so happy for her as she is going to be the only dog in the household and will be spoilt rotten. Her new Mammy came to visit on Tuesday night and it was love at first sight. I couldn’t be happier for her as she is just the sweetest, loveliest little dog ever. We are going to miss her so much but are delighted she will be able to hang her stocking up in her new home in time for Santa.

What an appropriate name Lucy’s Mam has chosen    We’ve just been for our last walk with Lucy and I’m feeling very weepy at the moment. Lucy arrived into our lives 12 weeks ago today. I tried not to get attached and I didn’t think I had, until now. Now I realise she has stolen part of my heart and will always have a place there. She is going to a wonderful home where she will want for nothing and will be so well loved and cared for. She is going to be the centre of her new Mammy and Daddy’s world. I couldn’t have asked for more. Tomorrow also happens to be my birthday and it’s the best present I could have wished for.

Well my little Lucy Lockett went off to her forever home this morning. She took a shine to her new Mammy straight away and hopped into the car and settled down. I know Ollie is going to find it strange when he comes down in the morning and doesn’t find her asleep on the couch. He used to go straight in and jump on the couch and wake her :o I know Lucy is going to have a wonderful life and is one very lucky little girl :D :D

Hi there just to give you an update on the gorgeous Lady Lucy. She has been with us since Saturday now and can categorically state I am totally smitten with this little angel. She is just so good. She has been out and about with us all weekend in the car, visiting people and there has not been a peep out of her. She has claimed her spot on the sofa and has generally made herself at home. She did wake up at 3am on Saturday night/Sunday morning and had a little cry but after we had a little cuddle, a drink of water and a wee in the back garden(Lucy not me :D ) she settled back to sleep. We had great fun at dinner yesterday as she was doing a lovely little dance and singing a little song to try and get some food off us but Mary has advised us not to give in to her so it was hilarious watching her going from one of us to the other singing and dancing. Once she realised she wasn’t getting any scraps she happily went to her own bowl and demolished her own food. All in all I just want to say "thank you" to Mary and Kieran (and of course Ollie) for looking after Lucy so well. She is just a joy to have around and it is just going to be a fantastic Christmas having this little bundle of joy in the house :D xxx

Brilliant news that Lucy has her forever home for Christmas – and everyone is so happy. Some things are worth the wait.. ;) Well done her foster family too who must have mixed emotions at the moment. :( :D You looked after Lucy so well, and put up lovely photos of her…

Thank you Indianna and Yoddy for your kind wishes and words. It’s very strange not having Lucy here but the long wait for her forever family was well worth it. She is now one very very loved little dog and has a Mammy and Daddy who dote on her. Everything comes to she who waits ;)

Glad she has found her forever home, little Ollie will miss her big blue eyes as will her foster parents. May she have many years of happy life ahead.

Great to hear Lucy is settling in well…the difference fostering makes. Hope she is continuing the pre-washing of the dinner dishes – a very important job indeed! Ollie has taught her well. ;)

Hi all. Just a quick update to let uou know that the gorgeous Lucy is doing fantastically well. She has completely stolen our hearts and it feels like she has been with us forever. She is a little ball of fun and it is so hard to believe she is 11 years of age. She loves her walks and her sleeps. Right now she is cuddled up beside me on the sofa watching telly. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. We certainly did thanks to Lucy
