January 29, 2013 at 8:59 pm #113762ZaraMemberI collected Lucy from the pound yesterday, she’s so small I couldn’t believe she was left alone with her brother. Such a friendly little thing she was full of licks for me. She was dubious coming into the house and pretty much stayed on her bed for the entire night but she’s a different dog today! Has been exploring all day and is currently asleep beside me
She loves people and wants to say hello to everyone we meet! She was a bit scorpy with my dog initially but they’re sussing each other out slowly. No accidents and she goes outside every time I bring her out. She has the smallest little face but such a strong body! Can’t quite figure out what breed she is, we think definitely a bit of lab and collie. Shes as cute as a button and we’re thrilled to be able to look after her in preparation for her forever home.

January 31, 2013 at 1:49 pm #113813ZaraMemberWell what can I say about the lovely Lucy? She’s more like a seal than a puppy! Slinking around the place. She seems quite timid in the house but is slowly starting to explore. She doesn’t really have any interest in toys or food at the moment but I think she’s just taking everything in and will come out of her shell soon enough. She is the cuddliest little thing and constantly rolls on her belly with her paws out to be rubbed! She’s a little bit unsure of my dog at the moment but I think that’s more to do with Fibi’s submissive nature, she’s either snapping out of fear or wanting to the boss, small as she is! She loves her walks, is a bit dubious coming out of the house but is fine once we’re out. Has a fear of cars but am sure that will pass in time. Will update again soon.

ll.jpgFebruary 5, 2013 at 8:45 am #113942ZaraMemberWell what a difference a week makes! Lucy has come out of her shell and is eating and playing like a normal puppy. So good to see, she is such a little dote and has completely stolen our hearts. She’s still dubious leaving the house but is delighted once we’re on our walk. She pulls a bit on the lead but she’s a clever little girl and am sure we’ll have that fixed in no time. Have taught her to sit already. She’s been good with toilet training, she only really has accidents at night but I think that’s more because of her age(only around 5 months). She’s quite playful and really wants to be friends with Fibi our resident terrier but Fibi really takes her time getting to know other dogs. Hopefully in a week or so she’ll be more comfortable with her. Absolutely loving having this little cuddle bug around, she adores her cuddles and is just such a little bundle of joy, doesn’t give us any trouble. She would definitely suit a house with another dog as she loves to play. I think she definitely has more lab than colly as she’s quite calm for a pup. Not sure how she is with children yet but hoping to find out this weekend. Will update then.

luuu.jpgMarch 1, 2013 at 11:28 am #114279ZaraMemberAh the lovely little Lucy! She has settled in very well and herself and Fib are now great friends. She’s happy to let Fibi take charge which is great, but she’s also able to assert herself when Fibi’s trying to monopolise all her toys! I had her in daycare yesterday and she got on well. She’s a tiny bit nervous of dogs when we’re out walking but I don’t think she was ever walked before we got her(hated leaving the house, getting in and out of the car and pulled to come home) but daycare will definitely help her to socialise. She was terrified of cars but not so much now. She’s quite nervous of children but I take her to all my friends houses who have kids to expose her as much as possible. All in all, Lucy is an amazing dog with a few little issues that are easily sorted out. She’s flying along with her training and walking much better on the lead. Cracks us up entertaining herself with her toys
I would love for this pet to go to a lovely home but I’ll be devastated to see her go. She’s already a loyal little thing and will make someone an amazing companion. She’s been spayed now and the vet doesn’t think she’ll get much bigger. I don’t think she’s a lab, more terrier with a bit of colly. A really good mix, she’s a placid girl for a terrier with the intelligence of both breeds.
I’ll update again soon.
