    From her forever family :(

Just to let you know my poor little Dixie lost her fight with her illness on the 18th May 2012 , It was a very sad day , we got her
from DID on 23rd April 2009 so just over 3 years since she was dumped outside ashtown pound. I am heartbroken so don’t
know when I will be ready to foster . At least she had 3 years of being spoiled and loved . I attached a photo of her as she appeared on DID
and a recent one of her.

I’m so sorry to hear this sad news :-( Her poor family!, I cant imagine how they are feeling. From the photos is obvious that she had such a brilliant happy life, and I know it won’t be much consolation at the moment but her family should take comfort in the fact that she had such a great life.

A terrible path to be on, she should have had another 10 years. Short as her time was, her life was full of love and being part of your family – you were her pack. That is what our dogs want most of all, to be treasured members of their own pack. She will continue to walk alongside you.

So very sorry for your loss – Lady was indeed a most beautiful lady and obviously loved and cherished to bits. Such a young age to lose her but you gave her the best 3 years she could have dreamed for and she likewise no doubt gave her all to you in that time. Sadly we have to love and let go to truly know how much these magical animals enrich our lives. Thinking of you.

Thank you all for your kind words and Kathy thanks
For the lovely card which we received yesterday.
We are slowly coming back to normal but
It only takes something small to start you off
Again . Our other dog Polly is back to her old
Self as she was very upset in the week leading
Up to Dixie being put to sleep. I have ordered
A lovely canvas of Dixie ( there were a lot of photos
To choose from she was such a poser ) to put in the sitting room
At least she will be where she belongs and when I’m
Sitting watching telly I can still see my two dogs.
