My poor little man was vaxed and chipped yesterday and he was not impressed Not surprised though!!! Anyway he is back to his normal gorgeous self today – playing and wrestling and running and snuggling to beat the band. Another little hurdle over for this great little guy.

CAM_0412.JPGMarch 15, 2011 at 8:15 am #82456ColganFamilyMemberWell what a week for the Colgan foster dogs! Kai left us on Friday, Kayla is going later today and my little man Kibbles is leaving us on Saturday He met a lovely family last weekend and Sarah, Jonathan, Poppy and Rosie can’t wait to bring this little guy home! I am not surprised – he is the greatest little dog ever and we all wish him lots of luck and happiness in his new home.

March 19, 2011 at 4:15 pm #101612ColganFamilyMemberWell our special, FANTASTIC little guy left us this morning for his new life!! We will miss him so much – He is the most incredible dog imaginable and Sarah, Jonathan, Poppy and Rosie are getting the greatest companion. All the very best, my wonderful little man….
March 20, 2011 at 9:29 pm #82065JonathanandSarahMemberThank you Susan for taking care of this little man for us. what a little gem! we are soo proud, soo delighted and soo in love with Kibbles. A diamond dog and Susan’s care is apparent. He slept through his first night and the 7 year old is giving him a run for his money in the energy stakes. he is so careful and gentle with Poppy our daughter with specials need and met her friend today and showed his clever intuition ( his trademark) by being calm and careful in his approach. the couch is his but given happily!
thank you Dogs in distress. Will post pics soon.

March 21, 2011 at 9:39 am #81212ColganFamilyMemberWhat a beautiful update on a wonderful little guy!!! Kibbles was an absolute joy to foster – as I kept telling everyone and I am not one bit surprised to hear all the good things you are saying about him. We feel SO PROUD and lucky to have been even a small part of this little man’s upbringing. We all wish you all every happiness and many years of joy and love with our precious little Kibbles. Give him a HUGE hug from all of us here.

April 1, 2011 at 3:53 pm #104415JonathanandSarahMemberJust an update on Kibbles. I am so bad at figuring out the picture thing so pics may take some time
It is hard to believe that he has been here only two weeks. he feels like he has always been here and anyone who visits comments on what a lovely manner he has. now there are moments of puppy madness but sure that is half the crack. He has adopted a toy loughness monster and a rabbit that he flings from one end of the garden to the other to the delight of the girls and their friend. Last Saturday my sister arrived with her two girls and all five ran the legs off each other and all slept soundly. even the sis( who is a cat person) was very taken with him as he lay on her lap looking for love and cuddles with the big brown eyes.
He is eating all around him and has realised that under poppy’s seat is a profitable place to sit at meal times. he is chewing a bit – a pair of shoes, my recharger cable , pencils and pens but if we give him a good chew like a pigs ear or the like, he doesn’t chew the place down.
he is sooo bright- we have sit down, still need to do a bit of lead work and road sence ( none) so hope to get down to purrfect pets for some training.
he is very lonely after the other dogs in Susan’s but has made a few dog buddies and has a ‘play date’ for Sunday with a lovely blond lab. And there is going to be a new pup into our extended family come this weekend so when she is a bit bigger he’ll have two ladies to pal around with.
Sadly there are three older dogs on our road who haven’t the time or energy to deal with his ‘come play with me’ bounce. but a beagal called baxter who we meet on our walks is great for a bit of rough and tumble.
Dying to let him off the lead to play but not there yet but soon I hope.
thanks again all and will update soon
best
SJRP and KApril 2, 2011 at 8:57 am #104429ColganFamilyMemberThrilled to hear that this little man is getting on so well! We still miss him here – that’s just the kinda guy he is – but we are so glad he has landed on his feet with ye
April 17, 2011 at 3:00 pm #104723LuvMyFurKidsMemberMet the wonderful Kibbles today in Marlay Park out with the rest of his family and he is great little dog so friendly….then later on he was in the doggie enclosure and I was so impressed with his recall…very impressive with so many distractions and he still went to his dad when he was called…..its great so see how much he is cherished.
June 11, 2011 at 8:38 pm #105466JonathanandSarahMemberFinally some more recent pics of Kibbles – here on the beach in Cork and relaxing with relatives on the same Cork visit. He’s doing just brilliantly with us, recall and sit and giving the paw all cracked! And really lovely with the kids – now if we can stop him chewing everything that isn’t nailed down in the house it’ll be all good! These pics are from about a month ago and he’s actually grown a good bit since then – definitely a medium size dog now! Hopefully we’ll post some more pics soon! Thanks again for this great addition to our family!

Posing!.jpgJune 12, 2011 at 9:52 am #105468ColganFamilyMemberThanks so much for the update! The photos are FANTASTIC and Kibs looks wonderful – happy and healthy!!! He was really camera-shy when he was with us but he has turned into quite the super-model, I see. So delighted – yet again – for you all. Keep us posted and give the main man a huge hug from all of us here.
April 28, 2012 at 2:19 pm #109510ColganFamilyMemberDelighted to report that as we passed by the road where Kibbles now lives, we decided to (cheekily!!!) pop in to see how he is doing. He is looking absolutely FANTASTIC and was delighted to see us. He also got the chance to meet Freya and the two got on great. Kibbles is adored by his family and he looks so happy and settled in his very own "happy ever after" home. SO happy to see you again, my special man and thank you, Sarah, Jonathan, Poppy and Rosie for making us so welcome.
