She’s a very sweet-natured dog, and though she is companionable with other dogs, we feel she’d probably be happier as an only dog. She’s housetrained, good in the car, nice and easy to clip, groom and wash, and she loves her walks. And walks she’s going to need… she has been overfed and needs to shed a few pounds (I know that feeling!)
Kenzie is looking for a home with an older owner(s), and where any visiting children are a wee bit older: she seems fine with kids aged 10+. She is a sweet, affectionate, slightly timid, but happy little Westie who will make a devoted companion to someone who’s looking for a quieter, wiser dog.

Hi. Mackenzie here (formerly known as Kenzie). I thought I’d check in and let you know how I’m doing and how life is with my new ‘person’.
I’ve settled in really well and love my new home. Even more importantly my ‘person’ and I love one another. All the family are crazy about me. In fact (and excuse me for sounding big headed) everyone I meet says how wonderful I am. I do play on this so I’ve received lots of toys and treats. My person can be a little stingy with the treats – I think she might want them for herself.
Like a lot of girls I like to try out different looks. My ‘person’ and I went to the hairdressers – I don’t know why but she calls it the groomers …another item for the list I keep of ‘her training requirements’. We decided on a short look as it was September and I had my nails done – well it was a girlie day and she was treating me. I decided for Christmas I’d grow this style out and go for a long look – I look fabulous – everyone has been saying it so I know they agree.
We went to Wexford for Christmas … I loved it. I thought we might head to the beach but it didn’t happen because of the bad weather. I hope we’ll head there when the sun is shining .. she promised we will but I’ll need to remind her.
Her training is going reasonably well. I’m training her sit down so I can sit on her knee to watch tv (I LOVE tv) – this takes lots of practice as although she’ll sit she hasn’t got the hang of me being on her knee. There is quite a few other things that I’m trying to get her to do but she’s slow on the uptake.
‘My person’ and I love going out … sometimes we go in her car or a taxi and we went on a bus last week. I loved that as I got lots of attention and I was the ONLY dog – I’m really special
We go for lots of walks, to visit friends, I’ve been in a cafe (I used my good looks to get in
) and lots of fun things – I’m so good I’m even friends’ with the vet.
I’m signing off for now as my person has her coat on and I need to go with her so she doesn’t get lost … I let her think she is taking me but it really is the other way around
