I have been letting Jingle off his lead in the park and he loves to run with his head low to the ground – I think he’s sniffing out birds or something – different than my collies run for sure. He is really lovely and I will put some photos of him up. In the first photos when he came into the pound he looks a bit bent from his skinny condition but he has filled out quite a bit and his back is nice and straight. He still has to eat small amounts. He is very excited and wiggles and jiggles and dances in place when he greets someone – otherwise he is quiet. In 2 weeks he has not barked at all and he has not tried to get up the stairs in our house.
Jingle is pretty strong and tends to pull me along when Im walking him. He needs some work on this and I promise to focus on this while he is here. I have been taking him on walks with my dog Max (DID dog "collie cross – good with cats") and holding both leads together but that means he is getting the exercise but not the training so I will do some walks separately and see if I can get him to walk more calmly. So a few little things to sort out but he is young and smart and he will figure it all out (hopefully)
jingle sounds like a real sweetie and is absolutely gorgeous…sounds like you’re doing a great job with him!
Thanks Amythorn. Jingle is such a dote. I learned at the talk on Sunday to reward the calm behavior and ignore the crazy behavior and believe it or not – its working! Jingle isnt doing as much dancing and prancing and his tail has slowed down a bit which makes things much easier. He takes food from my hand very gently and is just an all round super guy. And his coat is so soft – petting him is like therapy.

I tried to get Jingle to stand like a Crufts champion but he wouldnt stay still. So this is what he looks like from the sides! The last photo is kind of from a weird angle and these photos make him look a bit strange but he is very lovely.
Jingle and his perfect new family met up yesterday and they all fell for each other. So if all goes to plan we will be saying goodbye to our little man tomorrow. It will be sad to let go of such a sweet pup but he will have such fun playing with his new kids and with the other dog in the family ( who we also met and seems like a great chap ). The family have had rescue dogs before and know how to raise Jingle to become a fine adult.
Thats great news for Jingle. Thanks for fostering him and giving him that chance. I know you will all miss him especially Max.
Just a quick post to update you guys on Jingles (now known as Louie) progress.
He has settled well and spends his days chasing balls, sleeping, playing on the trampolene and going for walkies.
I have attached photos of Louie and his new housemate Bruce.

He looks so great
A far cry from the poor sick lil man i saw in pound……I had a big smile on my face when i saw his update! Well done and big cuddles for Louie!
Ahhh – The little Jingle Louie is not looking so little anymore! He looks great and he is having a fabulous time in his new home. Thank you so much for posting the photos. I love the way he sits with his paw bent.
Jingles now known as Louis after his operation to remove golfball.
