In a word …. FANTASTIC!
She is absolutely gorgeous – looks very like my poor Toby (Aussie Terrior or Yorkie/JRT cross) who died at Christmas. The same cute little face. I adore her. I hope her owner isn’t too sad and that she is also being looked after as well as Jessie. Kind thoughts to both of you. xx
wow amazing she is lovely and as you say well fed
hope the owner is ok
Oh my God!! What a transformation. Jessie must be feeling a million dollars after her makeover. You really ARE a miracle worker. And what a sweet, pretty dog you unearthed from under all that fur and matts and dirt. Well done and the very best of luck to you, Jessie, in your foster home. With a bit of luck – and your handsome new "do", you will have a new forever home in no time.
amazing. she looks fantastic. her poor owner. it’s a pity we can’t do more for elderly people & their pooches ![]()
well done to all involved ![]()
I met this little lady when I called into the shop this afternoon and she is just gorgeous…a friendly little thing with loads of kisses and cuddles to give. She seemed very happy with her new haircut too
I couldn’t believe it was the same dog from the first pictures. Liz did an amazing job with her. Best of luck Jessie
I also jumped in with out knowing the facts I think it was just seeing the poor dog in a bad way and we are not mind readers as we all know we do see a lot of cases like this where the owner’s just can’t be bothered, but in this case I was wrong and I’m sorry for jumping the gun.
Fair play to all involved that did a great job on her she looks fantastic
Thrilled and delighted to meet you Miss Jesse. I would bet anything that you had one of the best days of your life in the ‘beauty palour’. You do indeed look beautiful. I imagine your stylist had to have a cup of tea and a bun after all that hard work, well done you too.
I know its a big ask but could we figure out a way to support people who are ill and need their dogs but are not able to walk and care for them but for whom the dog is important and they are important for the dog?
Photos as promised..

Wow, what a site!!! Jessie was like a completley different dog from the one I walked in the pound yesterday. I brought her home from Liz today, who did an amazing job on her and on the way home she was full of kisses and cuddles for my son, with her tail wagging away. I couldn’t even see her tail yesterday. I already have 2 dogs at home who she is a little she is coming around.. Jessie is just back from her walk with the kids.. Will post a few photos when I figure out how to do it. Have posted a few photos, hope they come through, Linda
What a very, very beautiful little dog under all that matted hair. I was half afraid to look at the "after" photos! Hope things soon look up for both Jessie and her owner – what a wrench for both of them to be separated. Maybe DID and the social workers involved can see if they can be reunited if there is ongoing support for both the elderly lady and Jessie? I really hope the outcome is good for all concerned and I think we have all learned a little life lesson from Jessie’s story. ![]()
