Sorry just getting used to this, what i meant was i could take him to have his hair cut in the morning if its not too early.
That is horrific. Im so annoyed after seeing that.Well done Belinda, ur a saint. Please post some pictures to put our minds at ease.
i cant belive some one would let a dog look like that there no excuse what so ever for that not even if they were blind i hope who ever the owner was dosent come looking 4 him back ,Before everyone looses the run of themselves this dog was taken by a social worker from a woman over 80 years of age, not really able to look after herself not to mind the dog.
This is a sad situation.
Belinda is not saving or taking the dog now as he has been in the pound and she needs to protect her existing foster dog.
Sometimes there is a bigger picture and things are going on in the background to help end up with the best possible option for both dog and human.
Dont get me wrong on this maybe he is her only friend and she was unable to sort it out or maybe she did not care, I dont know but someday we will all be old and maybe need a helping hand.
We will investigate this further meanwhile we will look after the little person and make sure he gets back to full health.I completely understand Twist. You’re right, this little dog may have been the poor woman’s only friend in the world. Thanks for clarifying.
This is a sad situation for both the Lady and Ivan. I hope the Lady herself is getting some care and attention. Ivan must be on the way to feeling more comfortable, I think he should be with Liz at this very moment. Thank you Twist for taking the time to post up and explain the situation to us. I see you are still looking for a foster home for Ivan. My situation is not ideal at the moment as I have a lot of work on which includes a longish day tomorrow. If no other offers are available I could offer short term B&B until Ivan gets sorted. I do have a feline companion but if you need me to help out. Kay and Gwen have my phone number. I am free today up until 5pm.

I know I am guilty of not thinking about the bigger picture, just tend to jump in and you are right, sometimes things do happen in life that knocks everything else off.I met a lady in work today as I was talking about Ivan, she is interested in fostering him, I’ve given her Kathy’s number & told her to apply on this website….fingers crossed all will work out! She has an 11 month old Yorkie already, who needs a mate!!!!
Well said Twist…people shouldn’t judge without knowing all the facts. I think the aim should be getting Ivan back to full health with the possiblity of a forever home and leave the human aspect to the admin team.

Well said Marie. What we need to do is dig deep again so we are ready for what is coming next for him. The poor old lady is probably heartbroken and as you say it could be one of us some day. It is the worst of both worlds really, and Solomen himself would have a job with this one.
If poor Ivan is in such a bad state, can you picture the owner. She must be in a similar state. Age is a terrible thing for humans and animals. Maybe we should all be looking out for elderly or infirm people who may need a helping hand. Here’s hoping Ivan will be ok now with the help of DID

Her real name is Jessie and she is a little dote. Her coat was in horrendous condition but she was very patient and let us at it.
Joan gave me a hand and took loads of photos which I am sure she will put up as soon as she gets a chance. This little lady was loved by someone and she is great at giving little kisses and loves a cuddle. She had no sores that I could find on her body which is incredible considering her coat. Here ears were clear and clean. An believe it or not I would say that she is a little over weight for her size so there was no shortage of food where she was living.I have to say though, the smell was a little off putting but she is gone into foster with Linda smelling as fresh as a daisy who I am sure will update later.
I am having serious computer probs at the moment so this is the only one I have been able to upload and Joans will be much better.
