So happy to hear that Martina, he’s such a pet isnt he! We were devastated we had to let him go because he’s a great dog. He gets quite anxious and I think he is much happier with other dogs,so delighted to hear he has settled in!
am so sorry to hear this..poor Jasper! he did grew up with other dogs when he was in Achill so its no surprise that he is missing this. I do so hope poor jasper can find the perfect home as he really was such a great dog and am sure it must have been so difficult to have to let him go.
fingers crossed for him..I guess he is used to wide open spaces too so is adjusting to city life having come from the wilds of achill!
the poor pet..such a pity!!Well Jasper is getting on great and I think he’s loving living with the two girls! Himself and Ruby are playing all the time. He’s great on the walks and we’ve let him off a few times and his recall is great. I’ll put up some pics of him!
Such a lump in my throat looking at the pics, I especially love the one of just him sitting there with his ears back! Its so him! I used to have him off the lead alot and he just got better and better with the recall, only distracted by spotting rabbits and going for a run after them! He seems to be loving the girls alright, so happy he hasnt tried to escape! Keep us updated on him and his lucky new home with other doggies to play with hopefully!
Well done Martina. Jimmy, Cass and Ruby for taking in Jasper and looking after him so well. He looks great, so content and happy.
Jasper is getting on great, he loves his cuddles and comes over while you’re sitting on the couch and sits in front of you for a pat. And if you don’t notice he’ll give you the paw as some extra persuasion! He loves his walks and meeting new dogs and people. He loves playing with balls, chasing them and even playing football. He got it to balance on his nose for a few seconds the other day which was very impressive! I’m sure he’ll miss playing with Ruby when she goes to her new home on Sunday but he’ll still have Kas for some games of chasing!
ah!! so nice to hear about Jasper. He is such a great boy and I do hope he finds the right home for him very soon. Great work in keeping him so healthy and happy looking..he is a sweetie! love the pics..
Jaspers playmate Ruby went to her new home on Sunday but he’s happy to have all the snuggles to himself. He seems a bit quieter and calmer since she left, I think he seen her as competition for affection even though they got on very well. I don’t think he necessarily needs to be in a home with other dogs, he would be happy with other dogs but I think he’d be fine on his own too. He’s quite nervous and reminds me of a collie my sister had. Her dog ran off on her when she left him outside her friends house and she found him later in the park where she walks him. I think he was waiting for her to come out and as more and more time passed he probably thought he missed her coming out and went looking for her panicking, he was so relieved when he seen her. I think Jasper is like that and we’ve had him a few weeks now and I left him out the back the other day for the first time for a few hours and he was grand but he’s had time to settle in with us and I’d left him in the house anytime I left until I was sure he was ok which I tend to do with all the dogs when it’s a new place for them. And even when he was left in the house there was no accidents too. Loads of people admire him when we have him out, he reminds most people of a dog they’ve had growing up. He’ll be great company for someone so I hope he finds his forever home soon. Here’s some recent pics!
Jasper looks absolutely beautiful dog, very loyal I would say. You must be feeling quite lonely without Ruby, she was with you for such a long time. You both gave her a great start.
Jasper is getting on really well and we finally started remembering to bring tennis balls on our walk and he loves running after the ball! Kas doesn’t chase balls and Kuma prefers to chase the dog that’s chasing the ball but at least Jasper gets it and brings it back. The other two don’t stand a chance against him trying to catch it. He really likes his walks and loves when we take out his lead and sits wagging his tail as you put it on. I hope he finds his forever home soon and whoever adopts him will be very lucky!
I believe Jasper is going to his new forever home today. best of luck jasper..I just know this family is right for you!!. fingers crossed all works out for you and you live a long a happy life ..one you deserve!!
