Hi think Jasper would be a great little fella for anyone as he is so friendly, all he needs is a walk everyday, and he will reward you with lots of affection. He travels really well in the car and sits quietly, he is just getting better day by day, he has the most affectionate nature we are mad about him. Here is a picture I took of him last night as he was lying on my husbands knee who could resist those eyes!!!

Thanks so much for the response Catherine
Great to hear he is good in the care – he sounds like a complete treasure! I’m convinced – now I just need to chat with my mom
Well done for the amazing job you do – I work with abandoned cats, so I know how rewarding, but also how heartbreaking, this kind of work can be
You’ve really transformed this little one and made a huge and positive difference in his life!
Such beautiful weather for walks at the moment. We were kicking our way through the fallen leaves in the Park yesterday and it is so much fun to do this. Just thought of how the little chap must enjoy the sensation when he goes on his walks , running about and diving into the heaps.
Jasper is doing great he had his stitches out on Saturday and the vet was delighted with him, his ears have cleared up a treat and he has put on a nice bit of weight. He loves his walks and also now loves his cuddles, the differnce in him since he has arrived with us is amazing, and it makes you realise why you foster dogs. He is such a happy little fella and full of energy, he is such a clever little thing too, when we come in from our walk we always give the dogs a treat as it encourages them to come in from their walk as we don’t have them on a lead, Jasper is now the first one in the door and sitting in the Kitchen waiting for his treat.
How is Jasper getting on? Would love to hear how he is. He looks like a beautiful little dog. Hopefully he’ll find his forever home before Christmas.
I am delighted to report this morning that Jasper met his fabalous new family on Saturday and it was love at first sight on both accounts, he is still a bit weary of new people when he meets them and gave a few barks, but this only lasted a minute or two and it was not long before he was accepting treats and sitting on demand for them by they time they were leaving he was licking them. I am delighted he has found such a wonderful family who can give him the love and attention he deserves, he will be an only dog so will not have to compete for any attention. He will be heading off sometime this week. I don’t want to be around when he is going as he has stolen my heart but could not wish for a better home for him.
Well said goodbye to this little man this morning as he is going off to his lovely new home today at lunchtime, there is no way I could be there to see him go out the door, I know he will do great in his new home and will love all the one to one attention with no dogs or children to compete with and a lovely couple to give him all the love he needs. I am looking forward to see how he will get on and delighted for him.
We can understand how sorry you were to part with this little treasure of a dog. He has all the natural curiousity of a puppy combined with the gentleness and good toilet habits of the trained doggie. Already we’ve become more flexible getting down on the floor dragging his ball from under the sofas and armchairs. He is such a playful little fella, its all go with him. He hasn’t met any of our grandchildren yet, its only fair on him to give him a bit of space first, but we have no worries all will go well when they call. He is a little dote and has chosen my husbands knee as his place to relax. Thanks to all the generous people involved in his rescue especially Catherine and John, Jasper will come to visit.
I am so delighted for him even though our house is quiet without him, we were are doing plenty of dog sitting over the coming weeks which will keep me busy, glad his first few days are going well and will get better as he settles into your routine, I could not wish for a nicer couple to adopt him I thinks its a case of a special dog for a special couple.
I couldn’t agree more, Catherine. I did the homevisit and it is definitely a match made in Heaven. Jasper couldn’t have got a better home. ![]()
Yes Jasper has settled in so well, you couldn’t have wished for a more perfect dog. He has his spot beside the fire, as well as one on the sofa of course. Loves to go out and equally loves getting in again to the heat and cuddles. Was great yesterday when our daughter and grandchildren met him, not even a growl just a few woofs and the 2 year old and Jasper were best mates. Like his new mum he likes the gardening, gets down and dirty and has even done a bit of digging and transplanting which led him to have his first bath and brushing this afternoon. He knows he is lovely . Top dog . Hope to meet ollie and lucy in the park one morning too
Saturday night watching the football with his new dad

Well just look at you Jasper – I see the "no dogs on furniture" rule is well and truly broken
I knew your Mam and Dad didn’t stand a chance at keeping that one. To be honest, they knew that too, even before you arrived. It’s a far cry from a lonely balcony you are now ![]()
Emmm
I don’t think he is watching football – I think he is dreaming about how happy he is now, having a caring pack/family to look after him ![]()
Jasper is loving Christmas, especially the balls on the tree..yum yum. He plays and plays and has brought a lot of love into our lives. Such a smart doggie he knows what you’re thinking about doing before you actually do it. Can’t believe we have got the perfect dog. Lucky us and thanks to all involved in his rescue.
Ps I’m keeping the turkey well away from the worktop edge all the same.
Happy Christmas DID
